When I was 13, my family adopted a little stray dog who instantly became my best friend. Looking back, he was the one who secretly trained me to become a dog sitter. From him, I learned how to give doggy baths (without flooding the whole bathroom!), how to read those tiny tail wiggles and ear twitches, and how to walk a dog without getting us both tangled. Most importantly, he taught me that every dog has their own adorable personality—and each deserves to be loved exactly as they are. I’ve always wished I could have a dog of my own, but because my living situation isn’t very stable yet, I haven’t been able to. So I treasure every chance I have to spend time with dogs. I regularly help friends and coworkers take care of their pups, and both the dogs and their humans trust me completely. Some dogs even recognize me from far away and start dancing with their tails (which is honestly the best feeling in the world). I’m also full of energy and love being outdoors, so your dog will always get plenty of walks, playtime, and fresh air with me. Spending time with dogs truly makes me happy, and I hope I can bring that same happiness and comfort to your furry family member too.
