I was originally supposed to look after my niece’s dog, Sonia, while she was away, but unfortunately my plans changed at the very last minute and I suddenly found myself needing someone I could completely trust to take care of her. I asked my colleague Joy if she would be able to look after Sonia for a few days, and she very kindly agreed without hesitation. I knew Sonia would be in safe hands with Joy, but she went above and beyond what I could have hoped for. Joy looked after Sonia for four days and took really wonderful care of her throughout that time. She made sure Sonia had plenty of exercise by taking her on long walks, but also gave her lots of attention and companionship so that she felt happy and settled. Joy was clearly very attentive to Sonia’s needs and made sure she was comfortable, well looked after and enjoying herself. It was a real relief to know that Sonia was being cared for by someone responsible, caring and trustworthy while I was unable to be there. I was able to return on the final day and take over Sonia’s care again, and everything went very smoothly. Sonia was happy and relaxed, which was a great indication of how well Joy had looked after her. My niece was extremely happy with the way we had both taken care of Sonia and was reassured to know that her dog had been in such good hands. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Joy as a dog sitter. She is reliable, kind, responsible and genuinely cares about the animals she looks after, and I would happily trust her with Sonia again.
