Zephyr can care for

Cats

Availability

As a full-time pet care provider, I generally work 7 days a week, including federal holidays. My daily routine involves organizing my route geographically to ensure efficient visits. Because every day’s route is different, I ask clients to be flexible about exact visit times. I prioritize reliability, consistency, and clear communication over rigid scheduling windows. I do drop-ins in the afternoon and evening, with a focus on providing quality care and attention to each cat. If I plan to take time off, I post it well in advance at the top of my profile. I believe balance and self-care are essential for longevity in caregiving work, and I’ve intentionally structured my business to remain sustainable long-term.

I provide calm, respectful, cat-centered care in clients’ homes. Every cat has a different comfort level, and I adjust my approach accordingly, whether that means active play and cuddles or simply quiet companionship and respectful coexistence. 🔐 Key & Entry Policies Call Boxes: I require direct building access codes if a call box is involved. Physical Keys: I strongly prefer lockboxes for exchanges I have secure lockboxes available at my home for convenient pickup/dropoff Key tags are not necessary I use my own organizational tagging system KeyMe kiosks (inside Safeway & QFC) are great affordable options for spare copies, including many fobs 💰 Rates & Fees Please check the “Additional Services & Rates” section for current pricing. A few important notes: I lock in client pricing for repeat bookings whenever possible Holiday bookings use Rover’s holiday pricing structure Rover fees and taxes account for a significant portion of earnings, which is reflected in pricing.

Information Zephyr would like to know about your pet

I love learning about each cat’s: Personality Boundaries & triggers Daily routines Feeding preferences Medical needs Favorite toys & treats Hiding spots Social comfort level Please fill out your pet profiles as thoroughly as possible so I can provide the best care experience for your cats. **MEET & GREETS* I require one meet & greet prior to taking care of your cat for the first time, which I offer free of charge. I prefer to do these in-person so that in addition to understanding your specific needs, I can be shown where things are located, do a key exchange (if applicable), and potentially meet your cat(s). Please do not force an introduction if your cat is shy or unwilling. Engagement must be on their terms and in their time for maximum comfort. If your kitty does not come out during our meet & greet, it is totally fine. I do not take it personally. Many cats take time to warm up, and regularly behave differently when I’m the only one around, and giving them wet food or treats. I have an intake questionnaire to get to know how I can best take care of your cats! Please note: I do not accept booking requests from new clients until after the initial meet & greet. I prefer weekday meet & greets, as weekends are especially busy. Please let me know if your cat has any special needs. I regularly care for animals that have medications, dietary restrictions, physical limitations or just need a little extra attention in some way. Please let me know if I should expect anyone else on the premises- housekeepers, gardeners, contractors, nannies, additional care-takers, or otherwise. **SHY CAT?** The #1 thing you can do as a cat owner to help build confidence is constant playtime. Cats are natural predators, and require engagement and mental stimulation.

A typical day

Most afternoons and evenings, I’m biking around Capitol Hill visiting my cat clients. Every visit is tailored to the cat’s personality and comfort level. Some cats want laser pointers, wand toys, and aggressive zoomie support. Others want couch cuddles, brushing, or simply a calm human presence nearby while they observe from a safe distance. My goal is always the same: making your cat feel safe, cared for, respected, and a little less lonely while you’re away. During visits, I typically provide: Food & fresh water Litter scooping & maintenance Medication administration Playtime & enrichment Snuggles and affection (when welcomed) Plant watering Mail & package collection Few things make me happier than earning the trust of a shy cat over time. I send detailed written and photo updates after each visit so you know exactly how your cat is doing. On average, I complete 4–6 visits per day throughout Capitol Hill.

5-⭐️ Cat-Sitter of Capitol Hill

Pet care experience

⭐️ Get $20 off on your first booking with me!* Use my code ZephyrX ⭐️ (*First-Time Rover users only) Please read my full profile to make sure we’re a great fit for each other and that my policies align with your needs. I care deeply about creating sustainable, high-quality care for both cats and humans. 🚨 Important Service Policies 🚨 🏙 Location: Capitol Hill only (strictly within a 1-mile radius). Please review my photo gallery for my specific service area. 🐾 Frequency: Maximum of one drop-in visit per client per day. 🕛 Timing: Afternoon and evening drop-ins only (strictly after 12:00 PM). 🗓️ Scheduling: Routes change daily based on geography. Flexible timing is required. 🌙 House-Sitting: Morning care is provided only if I’ve slept over the night before. No additional morning/breakfast drop-ins. 🔑 Access: Call box buzz-ins require a self-service code. I cannot rely on remote phone buzz-ins. I’ve been obsessed with cats for as long as I can remember. I became a cat parent at 14 and have spent years caring for cats professionally and personally. This is my full-time work, and I’ve completed thousands of cat drop-in visits while caring for hundreds of unique cats across Capitol Hill. I currently live in and manage a lively community home with 10 humans and 3 cats, so I’m very comfortable navigating different personalities, routines, and energy levels. I work exclusively with cats because I truly am a dedicated cat person. Understanding feline behavior, boundaries, body language, and trust-building is one of my favorite parts of this work. I especially value creating long-term relationships with both cats and their humans. Many neighborhood kitties know me by name (or at least by treat bag sounds). 💊 Medication Experience I’m highly experienced administering a wide variety of medications and medical support, including: Oral medications Pill pockets & hidden food meds Powders mixed into food Oral syringes Injection syringes Subcutaneous fluids Inhalers Ear drops & ear topicals Paw gels 🩺 Medication Care Policies To make medication visits as smooth and low-stress as possible for everyone involved, I do have a few requirements for cats needing hands-on medical care: 1-hour bookings minimum for non-food-based medication administration Nails should be trimmed or claw caps used Access to deep hiding spots should be limited if possible A medication test run during the meet & greet for first-time clients Please provide high-value treats, towels for “kitty burritos,” and any helpful handling tips My goal is always compassionate, efficient, low-stress care. • Senior Cat Care: I understand the importance of gentle and patient care for older cats. • Kitten Care: I'm experienced in providing playful and nurturing care for young kittens. • Shy Cats: I understand that cats have boundaries. I have worked with many cats I have never seen, and allow cats to interact with me at their own comfort.. • Long-Haired Cats: For long-haired cats using standard litter boxes, I require visits at least every other day to help prevent painful or unsanitary litter matting issues. 🌙 House Sitting & Morning Visits My business is structured around afternoon and evening cat drop-ins throughout Capitol Hill, and I intentionally keep my mornings reserved for personal time, rest, and balance. Because of this, I do not offer separate breakfast-only or morning drop-in visits. The only circumstance in which I provide morning care is if I have already stayed overnight in the home the evening before. In those cases, breakfast and morning routines are naturally included as part of the overnight stay. I know this may not work for every household, and I truly appreciate your understanding. Creating sustainable boundaries allows me to continue providing attentive, reliable, long-term care for my clients and their cats.

Zephyr was a lifesaver and an outstanding pet sitter for my cat Bobbie while I was out of town for a few days. They were incredibly communicative, thorough, and caring for her, sending multiple photos each and every day during their drop-ins. Zephyr took the extra time to set up a meet-n-greet visit and followed all instructions to a tee. I will 100% be using their services again and I wholeheartedly recommend Zephyr for any of your Seattle cat-sitting needs!
