Pet care is a natural part of my everyday life. I already share my home with my dog, Sam, so my routine is built around walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and relaxed downtime together. At the moment, I have a very flexible schedule with no major restrictions, which allows me to adapt easily to different pet care needs. This flexibility means I can closely match your pet’s usual routine and provide care in a way that feels consistent and familiar for them. I enjoy being active daily, especially going on long, calm walks and spending time outdoors, so incorporating pet care into my week feels very natural to me. Whether it’s drop-in visits, walks, or longer stays, I’m able to plan my time around what works best for your fur baby. Spending time with dogs isn’t something I “fit in”, it’s something I genuinely enjoy and structure my time around.

Safety, trust & environment

My priority is always making sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and understood in their environment. I take a calm, attentive approach and pay close attention to each dog’s personality, routines, and comfort level so I can adjust my care accordingly. In my home, pets are welcomed into a relaxed and calm space. My dog Sam is very easygoing and social, which helps create a gentle, friendly environment for visiting dogs. I always introduce dogs slowly and carefully to make sure everyone feels comfortable. In a client’s home, I respect the space fully and follow all instructions closely to maintain the pet’s usual routine as much as possible. I understand that consistency is very important for animals, so I aim to keep feeding times, walks, and habits familiar and stress-free. Across all care, safety is a priority - I stay attentive during walks, ensure secure handling at all times, and make sure pets are never placed in situations that feel overwhelming or unsafe. I also keep communication open with owners, providing updates so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is creating a calm, trusting environment where pets feel relaxed, cared for, and genuinely at ease.

Information Zenda L. would like to know about your pet

The most important thing for me is understanding your pet’s routine, personality, and any specific needs or preferences they have ahead of time. Every dog is different, and I want to make sure they feel as comfortable and understood as possible from the start. It’s helpful for me to know things like their feeding schedule, walking habits, temperament (especially around other dogs), any triggers or sensitivities, and how they usually settle in new environments. I also appreciate knowing what helps them feel most at ease, whether that’s a specific routine, favourite toy, or certain way of being handled. The more I know in advance, the better I can mirror their normal routine and make the experience feel familiar and stress-free. My goal is always to make the transition as smooth as possible so your pet feels safe, relaxed, and well cared for.

A typical day

I love keeping things simple, calm, and enjoyable for each dog based on their personality and energy level. For more active pups, I enjoy long, relaxed walks where they can explore, sniff around, and safely enjoy their surroundings at their own pace. For dogs who are more mellow, I’m just as happy to spend quiet time together — whether that’s gentle play, belly rubs, or simply relaxing company so they feel safe and content. I also enjoy mixing in little “adventures” like visiting dog-friendly spots, easy outdoor strolls, and giving dogs a chance to experience new environments in a calm and positive way. We love going for long walk in the forest around the city like Pacific Spirit Park and running along the beaches (Spanish Banks). At home, it’s usually a cozy mix of playtime, affection, and downtime. My dog Sam is very easygoing, so the energy tends to stay relaxed, friendly, and stress-free. Most importantly, I always tailor activities to what each dog enjoys most, rather than a one-size-fits-all routine.

Life is better with dogs!

Pet care experience

Hi friends! Zenda here 👋 I’m someone who genuinely loves being around dogs and creating a calm, happy space where they feel safe, relaxed, and at home. I share my life with my sweet cocker spaniel–Labrador mix, Sam, who is the definition of easygoing. He’s helped shape my love for calm walks, cozy downtime, and including dogs in everyday life in a natural, stress-free way. I have a calm, steady energy that dogs tend to respond really well to, whether they’re playful, shy, or somewhere in between. I enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and adjusting to what they need - whether that’s a long walk, playtime, or just quiet companionship. I’m flexible with care options and happy to help in whatever way works best for you and your pup - whether that’s drop-in visits, walks, in-home care, or boarding. Sam is very social and easygoing, so having dogs stay with us also feels like a relaxed, friendly little pack environment. Above all, I treat every dog like they’re part of the family. I know how important peace of mind is when you’re away, so I aim to keep things consistent, gentle, and reassuring - with plenty of updates and care along the way. Think of me as a calm, cozy landing spot for your dog… with extra belly rubs included (Sam strongly approves of this policy).

Zenda was absolutely wonderful with my rescue dog Piper! She was reliable, communicative, and incredibly caring. She took the time to understand Piper’s routine and likes/dislikes (including meeting us before for an in person M&G), and I really appreciated all of the updates while I was away. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing Piper was in such good hands. I would definitely recommend Zenda to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker!
