I set up Bark 4 the Lead at the beginning of 2024. This is my full time Job so the pets that are boarded here have my full attention throughout the day and night. I offer dog walking which I complete in the morning for a couple of my Clients.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a very quiet area down a service track. The property is fenced in with no other pets in the household. I recommend clients to visit with their pets prior to booking so they feel comfortable and reassured.

Information Zena S. would like to know about your pet
I will always either contact the Pet Owner over the phone or visit them in their own home if possible to fill in the documentation which covers all aspects and needs of the Pet. This will give the owner the opportunity to inform me of any important information I need to know.
A typical day
I always ensure that I continue with the Pets usual routine which is always asked prior to admission. This reduces anxiety of the Pet being in a different environment. Walks are often within forests and I love to take Pets to the beach. They will be part of our family for the duration of the stay and take part in as many activities with us as possible to maintain the pets stimulation.

Pet care experience
Fully Qualified in pet sitting and dog walking. Full DBS has been completed. I have had previous experience working in a Boarding Kennels. I have had several Dogs myself of many different breeds. I also used to train Greyhounds and Whippets within the Racing environment. I set up the business to continue my love of working with animals. But mainly to provide a service that allows Clients to ensure their pets are well looked after when other commitments call. I know how close to us our pets are so clear communication with my Clients on how their pet is doing would be key.
Reviews

Bella just loves staying with Zena and James! It’s great to be able to go away on holiday knowing that she is so well cared for and that her “unique” needs are cared for. Thank you again for another successful stay ☺️

Zena was great with Nell, understanding all her needs and various personality quirks! Nell came back very happy and well and I feel very confident leaving Nell with Zena when we undertake a long trip in the summer.

Marley was well looked after. We had regular photographs and updates. Zena went above and beyond the usual as we forgot to pack everything for cold weather, Zena went out and bought a jumper for him. I would highly recommend Zena for looking after your dog - especially since she provides a toasty log burning stove. She has a great rural location, a lovely house and provides a fantastic service.

Lovely welcome from Zena Minty looked well and happy when I collected her Would use again
