I strive to ensure all pets feel comfortable and at ease with me, helping to make the transition smoother while their owners are away. I am respectful, tidy, and always mindful of leaving the home just as I found it—or even better. I take great joy in capturing wonderful photos of your furry companions and send daily updates to keep you informed on how they’re doing.
Informationen, die Zel M. gerne über dein Haustier wissen möchte
I like to know as much as I can about a pet before caring for them, including their breed, temperament, triggers, any naughty habits, and the best ways to approach them. I’m particularly cautious when it comes to pets with a history of territorial behavior. Are there any allergy concerns or specific behavioral issues I should be aware of? My goal is to ensure both you and your pet feel as comfortable as possible, so I’d love to know what I can do to make that happen.

I love exploring new neighborhoods, so long walks are always a treat for me. I adjust the walk length based on the dog's personality and fitness level. If the dog is energetic and friendly, I’m happy to go for a jog and maybe even visit the beach if possible. For the more nervous pups, I’m more than happy to keep things close to home and enjoy a quieter, more relaxed stroll.

Pro Pet Sitter
Erfahrung in der Haustierbetreuung
Hello! My name is Zel, and I’ve been working in the pet care field for over 13 years. Having grown up with pets, I began my professional career in 2013 as a dog walker and pet sitter with MonumenTails in Charlestown, MA. This experience exposed me to a wide variety of dog and cat breeds, taught me how to manage walking packs, and helped me navigate the unique challenges of living in Boston. Over the years, I've lost count of the pet-sitting jobs I’ve taken on, but each one has taught me how to meet the specific needs of each client and pet, ensuring a low-stress experience for both. For me, integrity, respect, clear communication, and leaving a clean home are essential. If you'd like, I can provide references that will speak to my dedication and care! If you’d like to learn more about my other animal care experience, I’m happy to share: Wildlife Care Technician, Mass Audubon's Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary, Lincoln, MA My current part-time job on Friday's and Saturday's. I work with native species including foxes (I am rabies vaccinated), opossums, groundhogs, songbirds, owls, hawks, and many other species! Veterinary Technician Assistant, Wheeling Veterinary Associates, Wheeling, WV Gained valuable experience in administering common medications like insulin, pills, and intravenous fluids. Animal Husbandry and Wildlife Conservation Apprentice, Good Zoo, Oglebay, WV Worked with a wide range of exotic animals, including birds, reptiles, and salamanders. Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehab Intern, New England Aquarium, Boston, MA Acquired hands-on experience with aquatic animals, water quality, and educational outreach. Various Animal Care Jobs I’ve also cared for horses, chickens, rabbits, small rodents, snakes, turtles, and birds. Current Schedule: While my job as a floating manager at MonumenTails allows for flexibility, I typically go into Charlestown a few hours a week. My side job as a photographer requires a maximum of 3 hours per shoot, so I’m generally available. However, Fridays and Saturdays are not flexible. I work part-time at Mass Audubon’s Drumlin Farm in Lincoln, MA, as a Wildlife Care Technician: Fridays: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Saturdays: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM In the past, clients have arranged for a friend, family member, or neighbor to handle afternoon walks during my shifts. On rare occasions, I can adjust my schedule to come in 30 minutes earlier and take a lunch break to provide a quick potty break for your pet, depending on location. I try to avoid doing this unless necessary. I absolutely love petsitting, and it brings me joy to offer a low-stress alternative for taking care of your furry friends while you’re away. I understand how tough it can be to leave them, but I promise they will be in great hands with me! I send regular updates and photos (sometimes too many!) and pride myself on maintaining open communication, integrity, and a clean home for your return. If this all sounds good, please reach out—I’d love to schedule a meet and greet!

Zel was awesome with our senior cat!

Zel did a great job taking care of our two puppies. She sent regular updates and we had peace of mind. She also cleaned up the living quarters after she left.

Zel is amazing and our pets absolutely loved her! We will definitely use her again!

Zel was amazing again with our quirky pups! She is incredibly kind and responsible and we feel better about leaving when our pups are in her care!
