Availability

I work from home most days, so my hours are flexibel. I usually allot 1 hour per visit. I find that a 30min visit only allows me a short time to interact with your pet after I have gotten all the chores done. Not having enough time to properly spend with most cats will cause them stress in the long run, especially if I have to treat them medically.

Safety, trust & environment

I prefer to meet with new clients before agreeing to anything. This allows for us to get a better idea of our dynamic and establish trust, since I will be in your home and caring for your pet. It also helps me to get an idea of how your pet acts when you are around (their most comfortable setting) so I can see what their behavioral baseline is. I like to work with owners to get a very clear picture of how their pets spend their day, and try to stick to their patterns. This helps the cat feel less stressed with a new person in their environment.

Information Zara G. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if there are any medical or behavioral needs I will have to address. I prefer having a list of medications/treatments to work off of, just to be sure I am getting them their proper dosages so that your pets needs are fully met.

A typical day

A typical visit involves scooping litter, refilling water, giving food, administering medication (if needed) or any other special requests, play time and offering my lap up to them. It may also include other tasks such as watering plants, light cleaning and disposing of trash, for longer bookings.

Cat care experience

Hello! My name is Zara and I'm a bona-fide cat lady! I've grown up surrounded by cats my whole life and have had the pleasure of taking care of some very interesting felines! Since 2012 my partner and I have taken in shelter cats that are old, and have special needs that would most likely have kept them unadopted. Because of this, I am completely comfortable with administering drugs (pills, injections, special diets), bathes, trimming nails, grooming etc. I have also cared for cats with aggression, anxiety and other behavioural issues. -I can handle exotic cats. I've looked after/owned breeds such as Persians, Bengals and Sphynx and know their extra needs. -I am not a feed, scoop and run type of gal- I am a master of cat appreciation. No need to worry about your cat(s) getting bored or lonely! I will take the extra time to step in and keep your kitty(s) happy and spoiled so you can enjoy your time away and not worry about them being starved for attention! Because most cats appreciate the extra time (having someone present), my service is up to a full hour. -I absolutely don't mind spamming you with daily pictures of your cat(s). It would be my honor to capture all the adorable moments you might miss. -I can also handle exotic pets. I have experience with many species, and am willing to learn/follow instructions carefully with new pets! -I work from home so my hours are flexible. -I am also an indoor plant fanatic and am willing to keep yours alive and healthy with their watering needs as an extra bonus! -Other additional services include sweeping/vacuuming around the litter boxes, disposing of garbage, and other small household tasks that assure you return home exactly (if not better) than you left it. -Most of my clients are expats and people who travel for business. Because of this, I am used to taking on long jobs for extended periods when clients are away. If you have any other questions/want to know more about me please feel free to send me a message. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your cat(s)!

As a catsitter myself I know how hard it can be to find the right person. Our cat recently has some health issues and we were looking for someone professional to look after her and more intensively then a neighbour or friends. Zara was the perfect person for this, as she really took her time with Pip, checking on her, playing with her and updating us. She is really experienced, doing this as a professional and made sure we arrived home in a tidy house. Thank you so much for your effort and looking after Pip!!!

Zara was a joyful cat sitter to our two Tonkinese boys. She was very responsive and personable, and took great photos and videos of the boys to send to us during her visits. I would highly recommend her as a cat sitter.

Zara is really amazing! The sitter made sure to take time to familiarise with our blind cats and make friends with them, and we felt very reassured every day that our sweet babies were 100% in good hands! Very good knowledge of cats, and very good communication (you will receive daily updates with pictures and videos). Thanks a ton!

Zara was absolutely amazing for my cat Jackson. This was my first time, and I can highly recommend her to anyone considering to have someone look after their cat. Very caring, thoughtful and great to be kept up to date with cool pictures on how he was doing!
