Pet care experience

Semi-professional dog trainer

Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Beyond years of hands-on experience caring for family pets, I gained exposure to modern training methods through Fenzi Dog Sports Academy and What a Great Dog in Dallas. While I don't present myself as a professional trainer, I've spent years around positive reinforcement training, puppy development, breed standards, agility, scent work, protection sports, and responsible breeding discussions. That background helps me better understand canine behavior, communicate clearly with dogs, and adapt to each dog's individual personality and needs.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

Every pet is different, so I like to start by learning your routines, expectations, and any health or behavioral considerations before our visit. For safety, dogs are always kept on leash unless they're in a securely fenced area or you've given other explicit instructions. I carry high-value treats (when they're appropriate for your pet's diet and with your approval) to help reinforce good behavior and build positive associations. My goal is to provide a calm, consistent environment that keeps your pet safe, comfortable, and confident while you're away.

Zaq is a natural with dogs, and with people too. He is on time, professional and friendly, and totally trustworthy. Our dog Charli moped for two days after Zaq left.

Zaq took great care of Luna and our home, communicated well and left the house clean and tidy. Most importantly, he was patient with our sensitive girl! Would definitely use him again!

Our dogs are a handful - 2 great danes and an Australian shepherd - and the 2 year old, 150 pound boy is a new guy who's never had a dog sitter - he's A LOT to handle. Zaq did an amazing job of handling a lot of information and instructions, a lot of specific care, and 300 pounds of dog up in the mountains where things can get a little complicated. He was communicative and reliable and I felt so relieved knowing that our high maintenance pack was in such good hands. We hope that he will become our regular sitter, because I'm very careful and wary about who we leave our dogs with and Zaq met all of our expectations.

The more I know, the better I can care for your pet. Beyond feeding schedules, medications, and household routines, I'd love to hear about their personality. What do they love? What makes them nervous? Do they have favorite toys, treats, walking routes, or cuddle spots? The little details help me build trust more quickly and give your pet an experience that's as close to "normal" as possible while you're away.
