Hi, I’m Zakia, an undergraduate student at Dalhousie University ! I’m a passionate animal lover based in Moncton, living in a cozy 2-bedroom apartment with my partner — who’s just as obsessed with animals as I am. Together, we love creating a safe, loving, and playful environment for any furry guest that comes through our door. I have experience caring for pets of all sizes and personalities — from gentle giants like Rottweilers to tiny, sassy Shih Tzus and energetic puppies. I understand that every pet is different, and I’m always happy to adjust to their unique needs, routines, and quirks. Whether your pet loves long walks, extra playtime, or just curling up for a cuddle, I’m here to make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and at home. I have a safe environment and a big space in my apartment to take care of your pets . All my housemates are pet friendly and they also love pets.

As a new cat mom, I was nervous leaving our kitten. Zakia made it so much easier! Lots of updates and photos, and what I have come to realize is a lifetime of cat knowledge, as well. Wonderful experience (and came home to a clean place and freshly washed bedsheets too!). Highly recommend!
Zakia is amazing! She took care of my cat, Anova, for 20 days while I was traveling abroad, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, Zakia was attentive, loving, and followed all my care instructions, including Anova’s feeding routine and other needs. They bonded really well! Although anova took some time to get used to the change, she felt right at home, which gave me so much peace of mind. Zakia was also responsive and accommodating, even when I had difficulties communicating from overseas. Her regular updates (with photos) reassured me that Anova was happy and well cared for. I highly recommend Zakia to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving cat sitter. Without a doubt, I’ll be returning to her the next time I travel. Thank you, Zakia, for treating Anova like family!
Zakia was great with our cat while we were on holiday for a week! She updated every day and our cat really warmed to her quickly. Felt really comfortable that she was left in good hands and would love to have Zakia cat-sit for us again :)
Zakia is a very lovely sitter ❤️ we got updates with photos from her everyday which made us really happy and at peace while we were away for 23 days. We’re so glad we made the right decision of entrusting our fur-babies to her ❤️
Zakia was a wonderful boarder for Fabian. Communication was great. I got pictures and updates, and she confidently and seamlessly introduced him to her cat. We will definitely be back!
Zakia was a very responsible, attentive, and kind dog sitter to our sweet Ruby. Knowing Ruby is an active small dog, Zakia took the time to take Ruby on her favourite walks and explored green spaces and trails. Zakia and her partner made sure to send plenty of pictures and videos of Ruby and asked questions to clarify about her care instructions. Ruby loves to cuddle and stay close to people and Zakia didn’t shy away from providing a lot of attention. Our house was also well looked after and in the same condition as we left it——so nice to return to after being away for a week. I highly recommend considering Zakia as a dog sitter/house sitter for your loved pet.

Schedule
As my university is closed for the summer, I am 24/7 free to take care of your beloved pets. I can easily make a commute in Halifax.
