I work from home, so pet care fits naturally into my day. I can do regular check-ins, walks, feeding, and play breaks throughout the day based on your pet’s routine. Evenings and weekends are ideal for longer walks, outdoor time, and extra attention so your pet stays calm, exercised, and comfortable.

My apartment is calm, clean, no other pets, no kids. First 30 minutes I let them decompress, sniff around, no pressure. Dogs sleep wherever they're comfortable, couch, bed, or by the fireplace. I follow your routine and your rules, feeding schedule, walking schedule, whatever works for your dog. I'll reach out right away if anything seems off, and I send photos throughout!

Information Zaid A. would like to know about your pet
Please tell me about any behavioural or medical needs before we get started. The more I know about their routine and preferences, the more comfortable and happy your pet will be with me.
A typical day
Morning drop off starts with a slow intro, sniff around the apartment. Once they're settled, a short walk to get their bearings. Lunch time we hit the seawall, longer for high energy dogs, slower and sniff heavy for seniors or anxious ones. Throughout the day there's plenty of cuddles, indoor play, attention, and I keep water fresh and topped up consistently.

Yaletown WFH Experienced
Pet care experience
My love for pets started with my family’s poodle. Since then, I’ve cared for a wide range of dogs, from playful puppies to seniors who need extra patience and gentle routines. I’m comfortable with rescue dogs, high energy breeds, and following each pet’s specific care instructions. I take one client at a time because that's the kind of care I'd want for my own dog. I can also handle oral and injected medications, and I'm experienced with senior and special needs dogs.

Reviews

Remi had a great time with Zaid! She always looks so happy once she’s gotten settled, and I always appreciate getting updates on how she’s doing.

Zaid was fabulous with Simon! My big boy can have some separation anxiety, so finding somewhere he can stay and enjoy his time without me is so helpful. Zaid was super flexible on timing, shared lots of great feedback and photos, and was just an overall great experience. Speaking for Simon, I know he’ll be back to hang out with Zaid.

A lovely person, took great care of Charlotte and would happily book again. Very accommodating and kind! Thanks Zaid!

Zaid was amazing from start to finish. I live in Montreal but was coming to Vancouver to do an educational course and wanted Athena to be looked after during the days. Zaids communication from the start was excellent and his care and demeanor with her foot me at ease so I could focus on the course I was taking. I will definitely be reaching out to him when we are back in vancouver!
