Availability
Dog walking and pet sitting is my only job at the moment. To get my walking rate of $25 for a 30 minute walk you must schedule 3 or more walks a week with the start time between 11am-2pm. If you want a walk outside of this start time frame or only 1 or 2 walks a week, a 30 minute walk will cost $30. In this case you should request a drop in visit. I'm much more flexible with the time frame for drop-in visits.

Before my dog died I was always giving her lots of love when I was at home, and when I'm pet sitting or boarding, your dog will get the same treatment. Lots of head massages, cuddles, and kisses. That said, some dogs need time to get used to a new person so I know when to give a dog space if they need it. For boarding, I live in a basement apartment with functional windows with a view of the garden. I’m usually gone for about 4 hours walking dogs starting at 10am or 11am. Your dog will get a 30 minute walk usually after I’ve finished those other walks, or before I head out. Usually I’m home the rest of the time, but sometimes in the evening or at night I’ll be gone for an hour or 2 for pet visits. I won’t be gone for more than 6 hours at a time. If a dog can’t hold it for 6 hours or can’t be trusted to not chew the furniture, then I put them in the bathroom while time gone. Otherwise they’re free to roam the living room and bedroom. I also put on a forest squirrel cam on the tv when I’m gone. I only board for one client at a time.

Information Zack H. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know what your dog is like with other dogs, and what they are like with other people out on walks. Also if they have any phobias or anything else that would be good to know.
A typical day
I like to keep a good balance between letting dogs stop and sniff while still keeping a moderate pace overall. I usually try and find the most scenic route for walks, I tend to avoid busy streets, and on hot days stick to the shade as much as possible.

Reviews

Zack was super communicative and loved on my pup while I was out of town. Every day I got a quick update and lots of photos, which made me feel confident that Gus was well taken care of and happy!

Zack was great. He was very responsive and was able to meet my dog Bakers needs while we were away. He sent lots of photos and Baker always looked like he was having a great time which made me feel a lot better about leaving him for a weekend.

Zack has been responsive and timely this week with our two dogs. He sends great pictures of the pups, and they look pretty content.

We really appreciate Zach being available and taking such good care of our three cats and our one foster cat! He navigated our house well and treated all the cats with tenderness. Thank you!
