I’ve been caring for animals for more than 20 years, including pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors with pets of all ages, from energetic puppies and kittens to senior animals needing a little extra patience and attention. I’ve had many dogs and cats throughout my life and currently have a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd named Mitzi. My experience also includes caring for hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, rabbits, and horses. I grew up involved in 4-H and around veterinary knowledge through my father, who attended veterinary school, which helped build my comfort and confidence around a wide variety of animals. I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and routine and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away.

I always treat animals with respect and let them set the tone. Making sure pets feel safe and comfortable is my number one priority. I focus on keeping your pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, bathroom breaks, and any other specific needs your pet may have. I’m happy to spend time playing, going for walks, or simply keeping them company depending on their personality and energy level. I’ll also make sure they have fresh water, a clean and comfortable space, and plenty of attention. During house sitting, I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own, and I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing.

Schedule
I currently work on my own schedule as a Microbiology and Food Safety consultant, which allows me lots of flexibility when it comes to pet care, whether that means long play sessions, a walk around the block, or just a quick check-in. My unique work schedule allows me to be available during weekdays as well as on weekends. Whether your pet enjoys long walks or quality time on the couch, I’m happy to adjust my schedule to fit the needs of your pet.
