Owner of a Portuguese Water Dog Kodi. I've trained him to be leashless in most circumstances. I believe in positive-reinforcement, tone-oriented communication, and consistency for passive training.
Information Zachary P. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if you need a meet and greet to make sure I'm right for you and your creatures. If you don't ask for one I'll assume your pups are fine with new walkers and will act accordingly.
A typical day
I treat each visit as though its your pet's ONLY activity that day. I don't walk slow and watch my phone. I set out each visit to leave your dog tired or your cat relaxed into a puddle.

Pet care experience
*** Hi! I'm Zac. I am pausing any new clients through at least May. I’m leaving my profile up for any friends, family, acquaintances, neighbors, and past clients to still be able to message and book with me. 🤠*** I'm the best you can get on Rover for those lucky enough to live close. I'm consistent, patient, communicative, and professional. I have lifelong personal, professional, and volunteer experience with all kinds of dogs and cats from pups to senior. My specialty is with hesitant dogs ( & sometimes cats) that take a bit of patience, confidence, and consistency. I'm quiet with you but I'm fluent in dog and conversant in cat. My job is your pup's health and happiness as well as your peace of mind. Roughly in that order. I know my role and I do my best to give real walks. Currently the range is 1.1-1.4 miles each walk, depending on the dog and circumstance. Some weeks that means I'm walking 10+ miles a day and I'm fine with that. Shy or apprehensive animals usually take about 3 visits before comfortable. ****I never miss an appointment. Please let me know if/when requested time(s) are inflexible. I always try to go at listed appointment times and will generally arrive ~ +-30minutes of the appointment time. Some days I get backed up longer to 1.5hrs, especially around noon and evenings. This is me 🥺 begging people to use cages less. Its a temporary solution and ALL dogs are house trainable without exception. I see quite a few pups and cats everyday and I don't use my phone when my attention should be on the pets. For that reason I get backed up on text messages so please just give me time. Professionally my background is as a biomechanics engineer and I'm making a career transition into data engineering. Also releasing my own stable diffusion based upscaler/enchancer app shortly.
Reviews

He did a great job caring for Possum the cat! He brought a fishing pole toy, played, made sure that he got snuggles, brushed him, and cleaned the litter box. He also sent good pictures on Possum’s daily report card. He was easy to schedule with as well.

Zachary was great! The visit turned out to be a drop-in visit where he and my girl Bella met for the first time. Zachary was caring enough to commit to giving Bella more time to get to know him.and he was concerned and expressed his desire and willingness to help me without me having to ask or convince him to give us more meet and greet time. You are a God send and I’m so glad you are willing to try to help help us. Thank you.

Had a change in plans because Bealey had an injury to her front leg. He was very flexible and caring. Recommend him and will reach out in the future.

Thanks again!
