Lifetime dog lover and foster dad

I've had dogs in my life since I was 5 years old. I raised a puppy when I was 14, and in the last year have fostered 3 different dogs. Neighbors, friends and coworkers have grown to rely on me to walk or board their dogs in a jam, and I'd love to open up my services to the wider community. I have a crate if needed, and tons of toys for your dog to play with.

Dog Walking • Jun 24, 2026

Zachary was reliable, attentive, and clearly cared about making sure Kona was comfortable and well cared for. He asked all the important questions ahead of time including several things I hadn’t even thought to mention which gave me a lot of confidence leaving Kona in his care. I would absolutely book with Zachary again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.

Doggy Day Care • Apr 06, 2026

Leo had a great day with Zachary! It was apparent how much he cared about Leo’s care, including asking all the important questions before hand and keeping me informed during the day. Absolutely would recommend - you can really tell he cares!!

Safety, trust & environment

The dogs safety and comfort is my number one priority. Making sure that the dog feels safe and comfortable with specific areas of my home to hang out in, either with or without a crate, and giving them plenty of space as I see fit. And of course, giving them lots of attention and pets when we both feel comfortable with one another. **Note that there may be additional charges for last minute requests, or requests for dogs that may have specific needs.

A typical day

A typical day with me would consist of lots of walks, lots of pets, and lots of treats (as long as mom or dad allow it). I usually start the morning off with a basic walk around the block (about 10 mins), with a much longer walk at lunch time. I'll usually go to either Astoria Park or a smaller park depending on the dog. After lunch is usually downtime, either snoozing on the couch or sunbathing on my protected, private balcony. After a sunset walk is usually dinnertime followed by enrichment time, which could be a lickpad with peanut butter, a favorite toy or something homemade. We'll do one short walk before bed.

Basic information about your dogs temperament is important. Do they get along with other dogs they pass on walks, or are they a bit jumpier? Do they prefer being in a crate when home, or do they just tolerate it, or hate it altogether? What do I need to know about your dogs diet, including any allergies? Do they have a favorite type of toy (puzzle, rope, plushy, etc)?
