Safety, trust & environment

As a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, I make sure every dog or cat feels comfortable and secure while in my care. For dogs, I ensure they have plenty of space to relax, whether it’s a cozy, made bed on the couch or snuggling in bed with us if they prefer. We also have a kennel at home for added safety and security when needed. Each pet is given their own designated space to unwind, and for those who prefer solitude, we have extra rooms available so they can relax comfortably on their own. I prioritize creating a stress-free and personalized environment tailored to each pet’s preferences and personality, ensuring they feel right at home. Your pet’s happiness and comfort are my top priorities, and I treat them like they’re part of the family while you’re away!

Information Zachary B. would like to know about your pet

To ensure your dog has the best experience in our care, please share any special requirements or concerns they may have. This includes: • Room Temperature Preferences: Let us know if your dog prefers a specific temperature for their comfort. • Dietary Needs: Please provide details about their food, treats, and any restrictions or allergies. • Behavioral Concerns: Does your dog have any distance sensitivities, such as needing personal space from people or other dogs? • Car Comfort: Share if your dog feels uneasy in cars or needs special accommodations for rides. • Interactions with Other Dogs: Let us know how your dog interacts with other pets, whether they are friendly or prefer to be alone. • Reactions to Visitors: Inform us about how your dog feels if we have guests over. Are they comfortable with people entering and leaving, or do they need extra reassurance? • Health or Injury History: If your dog has a prior injury or medical condition, please provide details so we can adjust their care appropriately. • Activity Levels: If your dog requires fewer than four walks a day or has specific energy needs, let us know so we can tailor their routine.

A typical day

A day with us is structured to ensure your dog gets plenty of exercise, engagement, and care tailored to their needs. Mornings begin with a brisk walk before I head to work, giving your dog a chance to stretch their legs and start the day on a high note. My wife works from home and is available for a midday walk to break up their day and keep them active. In the evening, we go for two walks—one as a family and sometimes a separate one if your dog prefers a slower or faster pace. We adjust to different energy levels, so high-energy dogs might join me for a trail run, while calmer dogs can enjoy a leisurely stroll. We live near a trail perfect for exploring, and indoors, big dogs love running down the stairs to play fetch. Whether it’s fetch, running, or just cuddling, we make sure your dog has plenty of opportunities to burn off energy and stay happy. For dogs who may not be able to handle four walks due to injury or lower energy levels, we adapt the routine while still ensuring they feel engaged and cared for. Our goal is to create a fun, stimulating environment where dogs are never bored or restless.

Hi there! I’m an active, dog-loving sitter who enjoys taking dogs on exciting adventures and runs. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, or exploring the outdoors, I’ll make sure they stay happy and healthy. I have experience training puppies, including teaching commands like “shake, lay, sit, hug” and helping them feel comfortable in new situations—like sitting calmly in a car for 20 minutes! Zach did a great job with Ara. Communication was great, and lots of photos. You can see that he loves animals and was very attentive.

Zack and his wife are kind people, and it's clear they genuinely care about animals-particularly dogs. Their home seems well-suited for dogs, perhaps less so for cats or young puppies, which they noted can be more work. I truly appreciate that they were willing to take in my cat, Foster, on short notice. That said, the overall experience was disappointing. Foster was kept in a basement area that felt overly restrictive and stressful for him. I was initially told he would have occasional time upstairs to get some sun and change of scenery, but that never seemed to happen. I wish there had been more transparency about what the stay would actually be like. What ultimately prompted me to leave this review was the condition of his belongings at pick -up. His food container was placed directly on top of his used litter box, which was still filled with waste. This felt unsanitary and careless. As pet owners, we put a great deal of trust in those we leave our animals with. While this wasn't a volunteer arrangement, even a small gesture of care can make a big difference. Unfortunately, I didn't feel that level of attention was given here. Thank you for your time.

Zachary was a lifesaver for my hyper Husky! He visited her three times daily and made sure she was exercised, fed, and happy! He sent regular photo updates so I knew she was doing well and went above and beyond to make sure she felt safe while there were thunderstorms moving through the area (doesn’t like the thunder). I came home to a happy Husky. I highly recommend and will definitely be booking him again.
