I work 5 days a week either 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm so on my working days I would get up and get them fed/exercised in the morning and get them out to use the bathroom before leaving for the work day. After work I would get them out and let them use the bathroom then follow the host feeding schedule. In the evening, I would plan a fun activity such as a game of fetch or a long walk in the area, plus lots of snuggles on the couch (if you allow!)

I am getting settled into a new house, so currently, I only offer pet sitting at the clients home. I will treat all clients' pets as my own. I will provide all meals based on the clients pre-determined schedule, ensure that the pets get outside for as many bathroom breaks as necessary, and also include lots of play time/enrichment during our time together!

Information Zachary A. would like to know about your pet
What is the pet's daily routine? Are there any medical issues or allergies? If yes, do they need any medication and what is the dose/ when is that to be given? Who should I contact in case of an emergency? Can I be in a fenced yard unattended while pet sitter is there? Where should I be left when the sitter is not home? How much food do I get? Am I allowed treats? Does the pet have any anxiety when it comes to storms or loud noises? Tell me about your pets personality - what they love, what they hate, and what you all regularly do together to keep the routine familiar!
A typical day
Activities that are considered fun may be different for different dogs - some may love long walks at a greenway or park, while others may enjoy belly rubs in the grass. Some activities I regularly do with dogs to keep them stimulated include frozen kongs (add other enrichment activities here - idk any)

Pet care experience
I've been pet sitting since I was a young child, including my own pets, and shortly thereafter, neighbors and friends.. I began training dogs in 2014 at Petsmart and trained pet parents and pets to decrease negative behavior such as chewing, biting, jumping, and barking. For the past seven years I have worked at a high occupancy county shelter, where I became one of the founding team members of our enrichment program. Recently I took a job at Orange County Animal Services. Ensuring animals get the proper care they deserve is one of the forces that drives me to work at a shelter. I’ve worked with a wide variety of animals in my 10 years of professional career, which has made me feel comfortable handling many different breeds, temperaments. I recognize that each animal has specific needs and comfort levels and am confident in my ability to connect with animals and help them feel safe and secure while caring for them. Should your dog or cat need daily medicine, I am trained in administering medications and would be happy to do so as needed. Additionally, I have completed more than 20 training webinars on various topics, including topics such as Understanding Canine Communication, Safety in the Veterinary Workplace, and Animal Enrichment Best Practices. Keep your pet in the familiar space of their own home, while having someone care for them professionally!
Reviews

Zachary wasn't a great match for my dogs or my expectations, though I know others who have been very satisfied with his care for their pets, and he came highly recommended. He is a nice young man who kept my dogs safe, walked them, and fed them. His fee is reasonable, and I appreciate that he wanted to do a good job.

Zach is a great guy. We were gone for three days and I so appreciated the daily photos of our two pups. His communication was prompt, very responsive. This was my first Rover experience, and Zach made it a great one! I’ll definitely engage Zach again!
Zach is a fantastic pet sitter! He has cared for my 2 labs multiple times, and their always so happy when he's with them. He took the time to make sure he understood their daily routine and asked a lot of questions to ensure he remained consistent. Because of all his experience with training and positive reinforcement, he taught my old dog new tricks (literally) in a matter of days. He updated me frequently on how they were doing with lots of pictures. He even helped me out by trimming one of the dogs nails and brushing their coat out while they played outside. Highly recommend if you'd like someone to stay in your home with your pets!
Zach is a very responsible person who truly enjoys caring for my animals. He is very caring and loves playing with all our pets. I would highly recommend him for pet sitting. Zach has been our go-to person for pet/house sitting for over a decade. He does a great job and your pets will love him too.
