About Zach L.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
My approach to pet sitting is grounded and intuitive. I have a deep respect for dogs as dogs, not just as companions but as animals that genuinely thrive with clear structure and support. I do my best to give them that structure while also making sure they feel unconditionally loved at all times. You can think of me as the fun-loving uncle your pets didn’t know they needed.
Information Zach L. would like to know about your pet
For dogs with any special needs, reactivity, or behavioral considerations, I like to get a clear picture of their world before we meet. I’ll typically reach out with a few questions covering temperament, exercise needs, separation comfort, and anything you’re currently working on. The more I know going in, the better experience your dog will have.
A typical day
Every dog is different, so I don’t follow a rigid routine, I follow their lead. If they want to lounge on the couch all day, we lounge. If they’re antsy and need to burn energy, we go out. I stay tuned in to what they need and respond accordingly. For dogs who enjoy it, I’ll often bring them along to my family’s place for dinner or out on excursions around Olympia. My car is fully set up with dog blankets, chew toys, and seatbelt tethers so they can travel safely and comfortably. I also love working on training and teaching new tricks for dogs who are up for it.

Heart Forward Pet Care
Pet care experience
When I was 6 years old my best friend was the cat that lived next door. From a young age I have always felt a very deep connection to animals, something that I have carried through life with me. Last year I decided to start volunteering at the local animal shelter where I’ve gotten to work hands on with dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, including shy, nervous and reactive animals that have needed some extra patience and care. The shelter reminded me how much I love animals and soon after I started pet sitting professionally. I haven’t looked back since.
Reviews

Zach was a great sitter, very communicative and went the extra mile to make sure our pup was entertained and tired out. We would definitely have Zach back!

Zach took awesome care of our three animals while we were gone for three weeks out of the country. He provided great updates for us and made sure everyone was well taken care of!

Zach was great with Oly; took great notes during the meet and greet. Would recommend wholeheartedly. Thank you Zach for doing such a good job!

Zach went way above and beyond for us. Appreciate him so much.
