Do they handle strangers and other dogs well? Walks take us out into a world of unfamiliar smells, sounds, and sights. Knowing the the dog's limits and tells can go a long way for us.
A typical day
I like to start off by getting to know the dog. Are they a toy hog? Are belly rubs more their thing? Once I've got a read on their mood, I tailor the activities around that. Since I'm in decent shape, I can even run with them if they've got a lot of energy to shed. But I'm just as at home with a couch potatoe session as a zoomie sortie.
