7 Years on Rover + Work From Home!
I’ve been caring for pets through Rover for the past 7 years, from Nebraska to Atlanta and now Charlotte! House sitting is my primary service, but I also offer boarding, drop-in visits, and walks depending on what works best for you and your pet. I work from home, so your pet will have plenty of company, attention, and love throughout the day. My goal is to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible while you’re away. I also LOVE taking pictures, so you can expect plenty of photo updates and adorable moments sent your way! 📸🐾 I’ve cared for all kinds of pets over the years and understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs. I’m also not limited to dogs and cats! I’ve watched guinea pigs, bearded dragons, rabbits, and fish. So if you have a furry, scaly, or finned family member, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to meet them!

This was my third time having Yvonne watch the Bassets, and once again she did a fantastic job. She is reliable, communicative, flexible, and always takes great care of the dogs and my home. This trip involved coordinating a handoff with another Rover sitter, and Yvonne handled everything directly and seamlessly without me needing to manage the transition while I was away. It was another completely stress-free experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book Yvonne again. Highly recommend!
Yvonne was an AMAZING sitter!! From the beginning, she had fantastic communication. She was professional, kind, and kept us informed as promised. We had a good gut feeling when choosing her. (We didn’t have the same about some of the Star Sitter options, who didn’t have good communication and who didn’t feel like right options…so always trust your gut!) we will absolutely use Yvonne again next time we are in Charlotte.
She was absolutely excellent! My dog came home so happy, and it was clear she was well cared for throughout her stay. She sent frequent updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. Right before the stay, my dog unexpectedly developed an eye infection and needed ointment applied regularly. I also had to adjust my drop-off schedule, and she was incredibly flexible and accommodating with all of the last-minute changes. She had no problem administering the ointment and took great care of my dog while she was recovering. I truly appreciated her kindness, communication, and willingness to go above and beyond. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!
This was our second time booking with Yvonne, and once again she was wonderful with our two Basset Hounds. She provided timely updates and photos, kept them on their routine, and made sure they got plenty of attention and exercise. Communication was great, and everything from drop-off to pickup was smooth and easy. We felt completely at ease while we were away and already plan to book with her again in the future. Highly recommend!

Schedule
I work from home Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to spend plenty of time with your pet throughout the day. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine, whether that means regular walks, playtime, meals, potty breaks, or simply keeping them company while you’re away. If I have other plans or commitments during the time of your service, I will always communicate that with you ahead of time so you know what to expect.

Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I do my best to maintain their normal routines, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any other instructions you provide. Keeping their routine consistent helps pets feel comfortable and secure while their favorite people are away. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, I treat their space and belongings with the same care and respect I would want for my own pets. If I’m staying in your home, I’ll leave it in the same condition I found it and make sure everything is secure when I leave. I also believe communication is an important part of building trust. I’m happy to send updates and photos throughout your pet’s stay and will always reach out if I have any questions or concerns.
A typical day
A typical day with me will look a lot like a typical day with you! I like to keep your pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible while you’re away, so please let me know about their usual schedule, favorite activities, and any special requests. Depending on your pet, our day might include walks, playtime, cuddles, backyard time, relaxing together while I work from home, or simply keeping them company. Some pets want to be on the go all day, while others are perfectly happy napping nearby while I work. I’m happy to follow their lead and make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

- Please let me know about any special needs, routines, or quirks your pet has ahead of time! I have experience caring for pets who need oral medications, ear medications, special feeding routines, and other extra care. During our meet and greet, I have a checklist that we’ll go through together to make sure I have everything I need to know before you leave. Depending on the service, we’ll cover things like your pet’s feeding and potty schedule, walks, bedtime, medications, treats, toys, kennel routine, chewing habits, house access, and any other important instructions. For house sitting, we’ll also go over things like mail, trash, plants, and anything else you’d like me to take care of while you’re away. I’ll adjust the checklist based on your pet and the service you book. My goal is to make sure we cover the important details ahead of time so you can leave feeling confident that your pet is in good hands!
