I love dogs and cats! I grew up with and have experience caring for both cats and dogs (of all sizes: from welsh corgi to Bernese mountain dog). I'd love to meet you and your pet first before starting the sitting/walking.

It’s so obvious my dog loves Yvette and John. He gets excited to see them and goes to them for pets when I’m in the room. It’s super sweet. Even though he stays in a separate room, they spend a lot of time with him and tire him out with lots of adventures. I think of it as a fun away camp for him! And I can enjoy my travels knowing he’s happy and so well cared for. Yvette’s communication is also great. She’s just such a pleasure to deal with. 5 stars every time!
As always, Yvette and John took amazing care of my dog. I feel so fortunate to have found them. My dog is very sensitive, and they are just so sweet with him. He gets lots of walks and love, and he always comes home happy and tired. They are also easy going and organized and such a pleasure to deal with. I wish I traveled more often because he seems to enjoy these retreats so much!
I’m really grateful to Yvette and John! They are wonderful with Baby, my cat! I never worry about how Baby is doing. She has an amazing space, her own bedroom and sitting room. We giggle as we refer to space as a “5 star resort”. I cannot say enough about how she’s being cared for. Truly, truly the best in Marin and beyond! I get photos every day and I love that. I left my dog with Yvette and John for two weeks this time. From the first time he stayed there, it was clear he just adores them. They are so super sweet with him. Their calm energy settles his anxious tendencies. I'm with my dog a lot at home and we sleep in the same room, so I was a little nervous about their setup. But it all worked out great! They took him for a lot of walks in different places and tired him out. He always looked so calm and content - they sent me pics daily! He was in no hurry to leave when I picked him up. It was just the best feeling to go on vacation and not worry about him for a second. I'm so glad I found them to take care of my sensitive pup.
I've had one dog daycare with Yvette and was thrilled with how it went. Yvette and John both took such great care of my dog. He had been so nervous, but they went above and beyond to put him at ease. And it worked! He had so much fun with them, he didn't even want to leave at the end of the day. They made it so easy for me coming home after a long day since they tired him out! I'll definitely bring my dog here again.
Yvette took great care of my dog over the holidays! She was very communicative and sent lots of pictures. Ginkgo was a very happy boy, and I would definitely have him stay with Yvette again!

Schedule
I work from home, my schedule is really flexible and I can accommodate a couple walks a day in addition to access to our fenced yard for a dog.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fully insulated one-bedroom pool house on the property ("dog AirBnB"), completely available for dogs to stay - specifically suitable for larger dogs or ones with higher energy levels. My husband and I love the outdoors and we like to bring the dogs along to our our regular hikes in the neighborhood. We have 2 indoor/outdoor cats that the we will ensure the dog will not come into direct contact with; however, please let me know if you dog is known to chase cats or would be set off by smelling cats in the general area - this normally doesn't happen when we have dogs over but it depends on the dog's personality (if you are unsure, that's fine). I only board one pet at a time unless they are from the same household and get along very well. I work from home and my schedule is really flexible so I can accommodate multiple walks a day and make sure your dog has a great time while they are staying with us.

A typical day
I work from home, my schedule is really flexible and I will be sending daily pictures and updates about your pet. With dogs, I usually do two longer walks a day in addition to them having access to our fenced yard. I had one (just one!) not so great experience on Rover in the past with someone watching my cats and not doing a good job communicating with me, and this made me understand even more how important it is to send regular updates and take the job of caring for someone loved companion seriously.
