I check in on the pet, ensure they’re comfortable, take them outside for a bathroom break, and offer some playtime or light exercise. This can also include mental stimulation activities like interactive toys or a training session. Afternoon Routine: Depending on the pet’s needs, I might provide a mid-afternoon walk or some calm cuddle time. I also keep a close eye on how the pet’s feeling—especially for senior pets who might tire easily—and adjust the activities accordingly. If I’m looking after a puppy or an active breed, I make sure they get a good burst of energy out before the evening.
