Hello, my name is Yunita. I have a genuine love for animals and experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels. To ensure every pet receives the attention, care, and companionship they deserve, I only accept pets from one household at a time. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and personalized experience, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Every pet is treated with patience, kindness, and the same care I would want for my own. I have extensive hands-on experience caring for animals, having grown up on a farm in the Okanagan where I was responsible for the daily care of horses, dogs, cats, and chickens. I learned how to ride horses at the age of five years old and I competed in horse shows until the age of twenty. This background taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, and understanding each animal’s unique personality and needs. I was also a proud owner of an Italian mastiff named Frank, who recently passed away. Caring for a large breed dog gave me valuable experience with dairy routines, exercise, feeding, administering basic care, and providing plenty of love and attention. Losing my companion has deepened my appreciation for the trust pet owners place in their sitters, and I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. Your dog deserves more than just a place to stay-they deserve to feel at home. I offer personalized, one-on-one care in my home, with a secure fenced yard and plenty of supervised outdoor time. I have a comfortable home with air conditioning for those hot summer days, so your dog can stay cool, comfortable, and safe while relaxing indoors. I want every stay to be comfortable, stress-free experience for both you and your dog. from keeping them cool on hot days to giving them plenty of attention and supervision, I'm here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home while you're away.

Yunita and her family did a fantastic job taking care of our dog, Bobby. She was knowledgeably, friendly and accommodating. We received pictures and updates which was great. Yunita and family took such great care of my dog, Beau. She made an effort to get to know Beau before the stay and provided daily updates during. Communicating with Yunita was very easy and she was a pleasure to interact with. Beau was a very happy boy during his stay with a yard, getting out for ample walks and being given lots of cuddles - would highly recommend!
We have known Yunita and her family for several years now, and have always known her to be a loving, attentive, and responsible pet caregiver, both for her own pets and our own. Yunita has cared for our dog at her home for several days while we were away, and our dog was very comfortable with and affectionate towards Yunita and her family. It can be hard finding a sitter that our dog is comfortable with and she can get stressed when we are away. But it is clear that our dog adores Yunita and she was content and well cared for at Yunita place. Schedule
I own and operate my own silversmithing and leather making business from my home studio, which allows me to maintain flexible schedules. Because I work from home, your pet will receive plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day and will rarely be left alone.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. My home has a secure front yard enclosed by tall cedar hedges and deer fencing, providing an extra layer of security. I also have a gate at the top of my stairs to help manage pets safely within my home. For pets who are crate-trained, I’m happy to use your crate if you provide one and following your pet’s usual routine. Dogs are never left unattended in the yard and I will be supervised while outside. Because I work from my home studio, your pet will have plenty of companionship throughout the day. I primarily take dogs on regular walks for exercise and bathroom breaks, ensuring they stay active, comfortable, and well cared for while in my home.
A typical day
Every pet is different so I tailor activities to their age, energy level, and personality. I love taking daily walks through the quiet cemetery near my home where they can enjoy plenty of fresh air, new sights, and gentle exercise. At home, I have a fenced yard where we can play fetch, chase a ball, or simply spend time exploring and relaxing together. For pets who prefer a slower pace, I’m happy to provide lots of affection, enrichment, and one-on-one attention to help them feel comfortable and at home.
