Information Yumiko S. would like to know about your pet
To provide the best possible care, I'd love to know: - Your dog's daily routine, including feeding schedule, potty breaks, and exercise needs. - Any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or dietary restrictions. - Their personality and temperament, including any fears, anxieties, or triggers (such as thunderstorms, fireworks, or other dogs). - Whether they're crate trained and where they usually sleep. - Commands they know and any training you're currently working on. - How they interact with other dogs, since I have a friendly Mini Golden at home. - Any behaviors I should be aware of, such as separation anxiety, resource guarding, excessive barking, or escape tendencies. - Their favorite toys, treats, and activities that help them feel comfortable and happy. The more I know about your dog beforehand, the easier it is for me to keep their routine consistent and make their stay as stress free and enjoyable as possible. I want every dog to feel safe, loved, and treated like part of the family.
A typical day
Every dog's day is tailored to their age, personality, and energy level. Active dogs can enjoy neighborhood walks, games of fetch, tug-of-war, and interactive play, while senior or lower energy dogs can look forward to leisurely walks, gentle enrichment activities, cuddle time, and plenty of companionship. Throughout the day, your dog will receive lots of love, one-on-one attention, and supervised play, along with regular photo and video updates so you can see how much fun they're having. My goal is for every dog to feel relaxed, happy, and cared for—as if they're staying with family while you're away.

Stay At Home Foster Dog Mom 🐾
Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Yumi! I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember! My family has had dogs since I was 3 years old, and caring for them has always been a big part of my life. Today, I'm a stay at home dog mom to my sweet 9 yo Mini Golden, so your pup will have plenty of companionship, supervision, and attention throughout the day. More recently, I've had the rewarding experience of fostering rescue dogs and helping them transition into loving forever homes. Fostering has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and creating a safe, calm environment where dogs can feel comfortable and secure. To ensure every dog receives my full attention, I only accept one client's dog (s) at a time. This allows me to provide truly personalized care in a quiet, low-stress home where your dog will be treated like part of the family. Your dog will receive plenty of affection, regular walks and playtime tailored to their energy level, and regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing they're in good hands. I'm happy to follow your dog's usual routine and any special instructions. I'm reliable, patient, detail-oriented, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog's unique personality. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, loved, and at home while you're away, giving you complete peace of mind. One of the reasons I enjoy pet sitting is that it helps support my passion for fostering rescue dogs in need. By caring for clients' beloved pets, I'm able to continue helping rescue dogs on their journey to finding forever homes. As a new Rover sitter, I'm currently offering introductory pricing while I build my client base and earn reviews. It's a great opportunity to receive attentive, high-quality care at a discounted rate. While I'm new to Rover, I'm not new to caring for dogs! I bring a lifetime of experience and a genuine love for animals. I'd love the opportunity to care for your furry family member and become someone you can trust whenever you need a helping hand. I look forward to meeting you and your pup!
Reviews

Yumiko watched my dog for a few days while I was out of town, and I couldn’t have been happier with her care! She was very friendly, responsive, and attentive from the start. She took my dog on lots of walks and sent me daily updates and photos, which I really appreciated. My dog always looked so happy and comfortable in the photos! My dog can sometimes be nervous around other dogs, and Yumiko took the time to introduce them slowly, which went really well. It was clear she genuinely cares about dogs. I felt completely comfortable knowing my dog was in her care, and I would absolutely book with her again!

I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received. From the beginning, communication was excellent, and I felt completely at ease knowing my pup was in such caring and capable hands. It was clear that my dog was treated with genuine love, patience, and attention. I received regular updates and photos, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. When I picked my dog up, she was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It’s obvious that providing a safe and loving environment is a top priority.
Yumi truly loves dogs, investing much time and attention to their happiness wellbeing. She treats temporary and foster dogs like her own, often spending own money to buy special foods, toys and rewards. With puppies and younger dogs, Yumi has made amazing effort to potty train and teach tricks.
