Hi, I'm Yumi! I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember! My family has had dogs since I was 3 years old, and caring for them has always been a big part of my life. Today, I'm a stay at home dog mom to my sweet 9 yo Mini Golden, so your pup will have plenty of companionship, supervision, and attention throughout the day. More recently, I've had the rewarding experience of fostering rescue dogs and helping them transition into loving forever homes. Fostering has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and creating a safe, calm environment where dogs can feel comfortable and secure. Your dog will receive plenty of affection, regular walks and playtime tailored to their energy level, and regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing they're in good hands. I'm happy to follow your dog's usual routine and any special instructions. I'm reliable, patient, detail-oriented, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog's unique personality. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, loved, and at home while you're away, giving you complete peace of mind. Most importantly, your dog will be treated like part of the family! One of the reasons I enjoy pet sitting is that it helps support my passion for fostering rescue dogs in need. By caring for clients' beloved pets, I'm able to continue helping rescue dogs on their journey to finding forever homes. Yumiko was so great with Bruno . She updated me throughout the day with pictures and videos . I felt so reassured on her approach with introducing Cooper and Bruno . Bruno gets very excited to see other dogs - sometimes it is a bit much for other dogs . He did well with their first introduction . I look forward to the next time they hang out together .
Yumiko was great with Molson! I really appreciated how carefully she introduced him to the other dogs and gave him time to settle in properly. She also let him have his own space when he was ready to sleep, which I really liked. Her updates throughout the day were detailed and reassuring, and I felt like I always knew how he was doing. Will definitely book with her again!
I highly recommend Yumiko's pet care services. I travel for work and she has taken care of my dog Kenzie twice so far. I appreciate how kind and caring she is to me and my dog :). Yumiko is quick to respond to requests and texts, and is flexible if the drop off or pick up times shift. While away for four days she provided updates about Kenzie's care and wellness plus lovely photos daily.
Yumiko helped us out at the last moment when we needed day care. She was fast with responding and helpful. We got all updated during the day. Very thankful for her help!

First overnight boarding for my pup before we leave on vacation, and everything went smoothly as expected! My puppy slept and ate well for her first boarding, and Yumiko as always provided updates throughout the stay. We're beyond grateful we found Yumiko :)

Whether your pup enjoys an active day or prefers a slower pace, I'll make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home.

Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard and nearby green spaces for safe, enjoyable walks. I'll carefully follow your dog's routine, including feeding schedules, medications, crate training, and any special instructions, so they feel comfortable, secure, and at home during their stay.

A typical day
Every dog's day is tailored to their age, personality, and energy level. Active dogs can enjoy neighborhood walks, games of fetch, tug-of-war, and interactive play, while senior or lower energy dogs can look forward to leisurely walks, gentle enrichment activities, cuddle time, and plenty of companionship. Throughout the day, your dog will receive lots of love, one-on-one attention, and supervised play, along with regular photo and video updates so you can see how much fun they're having. My goal is for every dog to feel relaxed, happy, and cared for—as if they're staying with family while you're away.

- To provide the best possible care, I'd love to know: - Your dog's daily routine, including feeding schedule, potty breaks, and exercise needs. - Any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or dietary restrictions. - Their personality and temperament, including any fears, anxieties, or triggers (such as thunderstorms, fireworks, or other dogs). - Whether they're crate trained and where they usually sleep. - Commands they know and any training you're currently working on. - How they interact with other dogs, since I have a friendly Mini Golden at home. - Any behaviors I should be aware of, such as separation anxiety, resource guarding, excessive barking, or escape tendencies. - Their favorite toys, treats, and activities that help them feel comfortable and happy. The more I know about your dog beforehand, the easier it is for me to keep their routine consistent and make their stay as stress free and enjoyable as possible. I want every dog to feel safe, loved, and treated like part of the family.
