Yue can care for
Availability
I am currently exploring my long-term career path, which gives me a highly flexible schedule. As a full-time pet sitter, I am available seven days a week and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. This flexibility allows me to accommodate a variety of schedules, provide frequent potty breaks, and maintain consistent routines for your pets.

Safety, trust & environment
Because I currently have a cat at home, I do not offer boarding services in my own home. Instead, I focus on providing care in my clients’ homes, where pets can remain comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their regular routines. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, habits, and needs so I can provide care that is tailored to them. Whether that means energetic walks, play sessions, feeding routines, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I always prioritize the pet’s comfort, safety, and well-being. I enjoy outdoor activities and have reliable transportation, allowing me to take dogs on walks in a variety of environments and, with the owner’s permission, visits to dog parks for exercise and socialization. I am attentive to animal behavior and body language and always monitor pets closely to ensure they are happy, safe, and comfortable. I also provide regular photo and message updates so owners can have peace of mind while they are away.

A typical day
A typical day caring for pets revolves around feeding, walking, companionship, and basic monitoring. In the morning, I check on the pet’s condition, make sure they are hydrated, and follow the owner’s feeding instructions. I then take dogs out for their first walk of the day, usually 20–60 minutes depending on their age, size, and energy level. During the day, I provide companionship, playtime, and short bathroom breaks if needed. I may also reinforce basic training commands such as sit, stay, and leash manners using positive reinforcement. In the afternoon or evening, I usually take the dog for a longer walk or visit a dog park for exercise and stimulation. I adjust activities based on the pet’s personality and comfort level. At night, I ensure the pet is fed if required, taken out for a final bathroom break, and safely settled for rest.

Pet care experience
I’m a UBC Applied Animal Biology graduate with experience in animal behaviour, welfare, nutrition, and hands-on animal care. I also have experience volunteering in a BC SPCA animal hospital environment, where I’ve become familiar with the importance of careful observation, safe handling, cleanliness, and following established care routines. I have over a year of experience caring for dogs, six years with cats, and three years keeping reptiles. This has given me experience with animals of different personalities, activity levels, and comfort levels—from energetic dogs that enjoy active walks to shy or cautious pets that need more time and personal space. I pay close attention to body language, appetite, energy level, bathroom habits, and changes in behaviour. I follow each pet’s usual routine closely and take a calm, patient approach rather than forcing interaction. During walks and visits, I also provide clear updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing. I’m active and enjoy spending time outdoors, so I’m comfortable providing engaging walks and age-appropriate exercise. Above all, my goal is to make each pet feel safe and comfortable while providing dependable, thoughtful care tailored to their individual needs.
Reviews

Yue is great! He is incredibly kind and communicative. He updated us regularly throughout the weekend and asked questions if there was any uncertainty. He’s a stellar person with a big heart. Pip was in good hands! I’d highly recommend him to anyone and will definitely be booking again. Thank you so much, Yue!

This was my first experience using a dog walker, and Yue completely put my mind at ease. As a pet parent, it’s natural to feel anxious when you’re away from your dog, but Yue understood that from the start. He was incredibly proactive, keeping me updated throughout the walk with photos and messages, so I always knew what my dog was up to. I genuinely trust him with my pets. If you’re a pet parent who’s nervous about booking a dog walker or sitter for the first time, I can’t recommend Yue enough.

Yue was great with my dog Arvo! He kept me informed and was very friendly to provide me updates during his walks and playtime! Happy to recommend anyone looking for a sitter/walker for any pets.

What a great experience having Yue cat sit for me. I got so many great photos from him and humorous insights in their days. When I came home the place was beautifully clean and the cats were relaxed and constant. I can’t figure out how to post photos - I’d love to share the video if Yue walking through the neighbourhood meowing, which is one way I call my cats! What commitment to the job!
