Experienced sitter specializing in kitty care. I adore cats and also volunteer with a cat rescue in Brooklyn. As a fellow cat parent of an elderly 17 year old kitty, I understand that it can be nerve wracking when you have to be away from your beloved pets. That’s why my top priority is to ensure your kitty is not just fed and cared for, but genuinely happy, comfortable, and entertained while you’re gone. I love shy kitties and will engage them on their terms to help them come out of their shell. I am extremely patient with shyer/anxious/skittish kitties to ensure they are comfortable and getting the amount of affection and attention they need. My own senior kitty has me on a four meal/day feeding routine with special add-ins for each meal, so I’m very familiar with finicky eaters. I am happy to follow the most regimented feeding instructions to ensure your kitty follows their normal routine. I’m also experienced at giving oral meds and aim to be as efficient as possible so it’s stress free. You can expect plenty of pics, videos, and a detailed write up of all the shenanigans your kitty and I get up to. I’m fully engaged with your cat each visit and love to capture adorable moments to keep you in the loop and give you peace of mind. The highlight of my day is spending time with your kitties. Their silly antics bring me so much joy and make my day! I will care for them and love them like my own.

Safety, trust & environment
If your kitty isn’t into traditional play, I’ll find other ways to keep them stimulated, such as getting them to chase their treats. Brushing or just quietly chatting with your kitty and offering scritches can put them at ease and develop trust.

Yolanda is the absolute best! This was my second time booking with her, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. She is incredibly communicative, thoughtful, and careful, and she always sends lots of photos and videos, which I really appreciate. I always feel completely comfortable knowing my cat is in such good hands with her. She’s genuinely one of the best Rover sitter I’ve ever had!
Yolanda was wonderful! She was incredibly detail-oriented and conscientious, and asked thoughtful questions upfront. She was also very responsive and communicative throughout. Traveling is nerve-wracking for me because my cat is almost 19 years old, but I felt completely at ease knowing Yolanda was taking care of her. It’s clear that she genuinely cares so much about animals. I would absolutely recommend her!
Cannot recommend Yolanda enough! our cat oyster is pretty tempermental - loves affection and play, but kind of freaks out around strangers and sends mixed messages. Yolanda put us totally at ease while we were out of town - she really spent time interacting with Oyster, playing with her, giving her treats and left really thorough reports and photos - we could tell our cat was doing doing well just from her demeanor in the photos! We will definitely be asking Yolanda to take care of Oyster again (and I hope over time our cat becomes even friendlier!)
Yolanda is hands-down, the best cat sitter! She is so thoughtful about our cat’s care and has even come up with new playtime rituals and creative ideas for administering our cat’s medication. She’s very reliable, considerate, and clearly one of our cat’s besties.
Yolanda is so great with our cats: she truly goes above and beyond, and they love having her stop in. We got so lucky when we came across her on Rover, and we would highly recommend her to anyone.

Schedule
Drop-ins are usually in the mornings and evenings within a 90 minute window but I can also accommodate visits requiring exact timing. Overall, I’m pretty flexible.
