(Booking acceptable Jun -Aug) Hi Pasadena fur parents 💛 I’m Yoko, originally from Japan and now living in Pasadena after spending the last few years in Naples, Italy. As a Navy officer’s wife, I’ve been part of close-knit communities where I became the go-to dog walker and sitter for both American and local families. My husband, MD, is also a huge dog lover, and together we’re excited to share our home and give plenty of love to the dogs we care for. People often call me an animal whisperer, I naturally connect with dogs of all personalities, even the shy or reactive ones. I genuinely love animals and treat every pup like part of my family. Whether it’s caring for energetic puppies or giving gentle attention to senior dogs, I approach each one with patience, affection, and respect for their unique needs. I work from home, so your pup will have plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. I’m also in the process of applying to volunteer at the Pasadena Humane Society to continue learning and giving back to the animal community. Living right in front of Central Park means your dog gets plenty of fresh air, sunshine, and space to explore. Yoko was a great dog sitter. She was very communicative and gave us small updates in the few days Chavela was with her. She was very positive and welcoming, which Chavela picked up on immediately. More than happy to have Yoko take care of Chavela again.
Yoko was absolutely amazing! We left our little guy, Boogey with her for an extended trip out of town, and it was his first boarding experience that was longer than 5 days. Boogey has some separation anxiety but Yoko put our minds to ease with her calm and warm demeanor! Yoko was able to maintain his walking schedule, feeding schedule and also sent photo/video updates during his stay that put our own separation anxiety at ease! This is why I can’t recommend Yoko enough; during Boogey’s stay, he had an allergic reaction (most likely a bug bite/bee sting from a walk) and Yoko calmly let us know what was happening, took him to the vet when we requested him to be brought there, and immediately got him the attention he needed, all while having an open line of communication with us. It’s every dog parent’s worst nightmare for something bad to happen while you’re away, but Yoko truly went above and beyond making sure he was well cared for in our absence. We can tell Boogey LOVED staying with Yoko, and we’ll be sure to have him stay with her for our next extended time out of town!

I’m very picky about who I trust to care for my dog, Mochi, so finding someone reliable is incredibly important to me. Yoko has been absolutely wonderful. She is kind, caring, communicative, and so easy to work with. This is the second time we’ve used her, and I’ve felt completely comfortable knowing Mochi was in her care. It’s clear that Yoko genuinely loves animals and treats them like her own. Mochi was happy, well cared for, and received lots of attention. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Yoko again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.
Yoko watched my dog at my office, and she was absolutely wonderful. She provided daytime dog-sitting for Mochi and made her feel completely comfortable right away. Yoko is super sweet, reliable, and very easy to work with. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about your pup and gives you peace of mind while you’re away, Yoko is fantastic. Yoko was the perfect fit for Chadwick for the day and night. The big guy took to her and her husband almost immediately, and they treated him like their own doggie. I really enjoyed the picture updates that showed our buddy having a good time. I'd absolutely trust our doggie with Yoko again.

Schedule
I work from home, so pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I’m available throughout the day for walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. Whether your pup needs early morning energy or evening cuddles, I can adjust to their needs. My flexible schedule also allows me to accommodate last-minute requests when needed.

I provide a calm, loving, and pet-friendly environment where your dog can feel safe and at home. I live in a pet-welcoming apartment right across from Central Park, so your pup will enjoy regular walks, fresh air, and a nice balance of play and rest. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and bed if that’s what they’re used to. I want them to feel completely comfortable and cared for. I’m happy to care for multiple dogs at a time, as long as their personalities are compatible, and I always take time to help each dog feel secure, especially if they’re shy or new to the space. When caring for pets in your home, I follow your routines and preferences closely to keep things familiar for your dog. I’m respectful, tidy, and always communicate regularly with updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands.
A typical day
I really enjoy taking daily walks, especially since I live right in front of Central Park. It’s so convenient to step outside and enjoy the fresh air and play in the nature multiple times a day. Since I work from home part-time, I have the flexibility to give my pets plenty of attention and care throughout the day. These daily routines help me stay active and keep your pets happy and healthy.
