I am self-employed and have flexibility in my days. I prefer 10am-2pm visits if I have a shift at night. On my fully free days 1-3 visits if you're away all day possibly. Looking more new ones in Bruntsfield, Morningside, Tollcross areas and Fountainbridge as top ones. I take bus everywhere so there might be route changes or traffic if I'm late, so please be understanding. :)

Safety, trust & environment
Firstly I want to meet the pets in the home and know the route there (bus schedule), any other necessary info about safety (so cats won't slip out etc) Getting pets to know me before first time going in alone, it so varied on the individual. There are plenty rescues, and they have their own quirks also. Happy to discuss anything and find a schedule/ walk + if needs food or medicine added. We'll meet before, and I usually grab keys 1-3 days before start if it's a house sit, or drop ins during a holiday.
Information Ylva K. would like to know about your pet
I'd like to know if there is something your pets do not like, and what are their fave toys and things to do! :) First time meeting tells alot of how we get along, but I'm wanting to know anything extra how to be the best carer for your pets. For house sits I like to have a written A4 of their daily routine so I can keep it same :)
A typical day
First saying hellos, pettings, giving food if needs, walk (dogs) and playtime for cats and kittens. I take usually 3-6 photos of visits included in the Rover app cards so you can see what your pet has been doing :)

Pet care experience
2026 winter / spring availability update! NEW & OLD walks near Morningside and NEW WALKS in Leith mile radius, cats in wider are to drop in, more availability times - > *No housesit at the moment *No boarding *Only nearby visits for the moment* Hi guys, I'm looking for more dog walks locally, cat drop ins around 1-2 mile radius and house sits max 3 miles away. *Daytimes only for walks, I have shifts late at evening elsewhere. **Cats drop-in any time of day. If your place is further with more house pets you can contact me and we can have a chat about availability, and suitability. :) I prefer small dogs, bigger even the more friendly they are. I have some allergies with some breeds. Cats are more likely to cause reactions. So cats and drop-ins are fine. In house sits there can be a cat with dog, aslong a room is available that cats not been in. In other case I can stay there the day and go sleep at home and be back in the morning! :) —>So discuss your situation and needs beforehand and we can chat :)
Reviews

Absolutely brilliant, accepted on short notice and felt Ganso was in such safe hands:)

Ylva is such a good pet sitter, she's was patient with our cat Connie which can be anxious. She talked to her slowly, played, on top of the classic stop food/poo/pee. Definitely will book her again

Ylva really helped us out at short notice the last couple of times which ha been great. Good to know the cats are in safe hands.

Great sitter!
