My current schedule is highly flexible during the week. I view dog walking and drop-ins as the perfect way to step away from my desk and get active. Because I manage my own hours, I can provide consistent mid-day visit or walk when most owners are at work. Caring for a dog isn’t just a ‘task’ for me, it’s a rewarding part of my daily rhythm that allows me to share time with a furry companion.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and trust are my top priorities, rooted in my experience raising and training a 75lb dog. I provide a secure environment by: • Equipment Checks: Always ensuring collars, harnesses, and leashes are secure before leaving the house. • Situational Awareness: Staying hyper-aware of our surroundings during walks to avoid reactive dogs, busy traffic, or unsafe debris on the ground. • Positive Reinforcement: Using the reward-based training techniques I’ve practiced for years to keep the dog focused and calm. • Clear Communication: Providing owners with detailed updates and photos so they feel connected and reassured. • Medical Vigilance: Having navigated a serious autoimmune illness with my previous dog, I am highly observant of subtle changes in a dog’s energy or behavior that might indicate they aren't feeling their best.
Information Yixing Z. would like to know about your pet
To ensure a smooth and safe visit, please provide details on the following: Entry Instructions: Key/keypad location, alarm codes, and any "tricky" locks. Safety & Escaping: Is your pet a "bolter" (tries to run out the door)? Are there areas of the yard/fence I should watch out for? Walking Manners: How do they react to other dogs, bikes, or squirrels? Note: For safety, I do not take dogs to off-leash areas. Triggers: Are they scared of loud noises (trash trucks, sirens) or sensitive about being touched in certain spots (paws, collar)? Post-Visit Routine: Where should I leave the keys, and are treats allowed before I head out?
A typical day
I love making every visit the highlight of your pet’s day! Depending on their energy level, here is what we’ll do: For Walks: I enjoy switching up our routes to give them a "sniffari." Exploring new scents is great mental exercise and keeps them curious! For Indoor/Backyard Play: I’m a big fan of tug-of-war for burning energy. Some DIY agility training or fetching in the backyard can be awesome too! Brain Games: For extra mental enrichment, I love hiding treats in rolled-up towels or around the room for them to find. It’s a great way to keep them occupied and happy before I head out.

Pet care experience
My experience comes from a place of deep love and dedicated "parenting." I raised my own dog from the time he was 8 weeks old, and because I knew he would grow into a 75lb powerhouse, I made it my mission to ensure he was a "gentle giant." I invested years into his development, attending socialization and training classes three times a week to master positive, reward-based training techniques. Through patience and consistency, he became the kind of dog everyone loved:calm, polite, trusting, and incredibly sweet. I am also experienced in high-level medical care. Last year, my dog fought a rare autoimmune condition. During his two-month battle, I became proficient in managing intensive treatments and navigating the complexities of emergency veterinary care and blood transfusions. Though he passed away in August, the experience taught me how to be an advocate for a dog’s health and how to stay calm under pressure. My husband and I aren't ready to bring a new dog into our home just yet, but I have so much love and specialized knowledge left to give. Whether your dog needs a structured walk with positive reinforcement or a gentle drop-in visit with a caregiver who understands their unique personality, I will treat them with the same devotion I gave my own best friend.
