On the first visit, I’d like to learn your home's setup, know where the carrier and vet info are kept just in case, and find out where your cat likes to hide when they want some peace. I’m incredibly respectful of your privacy, clean up thoroughly after feeding and litter duty, and will always double-check that your locks and alarms are perfectly set before I leave. You can head out knowing everything at home is completely looked after.

To give your cat the best care possible, it’s helpful to know their unique personality quirks ahead of time. Please let me know: What are their absolute favorite toys or games? Do they have any specific hiding spots when they want to be left alone? Are there any strict rules around their feeding schedule, automatic feeders, or treats? Understanding their comfort levels with new people helps me read their body language perfectly and respect their boundaries from day one.

A typical visit is completely dictated by your cat's mood and routine. If they are feeling energetic, I love to get them moving with their favorite feather wands, laser pointers, or even a fun game of hide-and-seek. If they prefer a quieter vibe, I’m just as happy to sit peacefully nearby while they watch birds out the window, keep them company while they nap, or give them some gentle chin scratches. I make sure their feeding is perfectly on time, their water is fresh, and they get the exact kind of companionship they want.
