I'm a long-time Chihuahua owner. My late Chi passed away years ago. While I was going through a dogless phase I joined Rover to get my daily dose of dogness. So far, I have taken care of 50+ dogs of various sizes, breeds and ages. My current Chi is almost 2 years old. She made so many friends among our doggy clients and absolutely loves the company! I WFH full time and my schedule is flexible. I believe in raising dogs naturally. Here’s how I approach things: 1. Fresh, Healthy Meals: I’ve done extensive research in dog diet and nutrition, and my Chi enjoys a fresh or freeze-dried diet. I switch up proteins and rotate between trusted brands (e.g. Evermore, Goodness Gracious, Raised Right, Smallbatch, Steve’s Real Food, Open Farm, Solutions, and Green Juju) to ensure a balanced diet. With your consent, I’m happy to provide fresh meals for your dog at no extra cost or replace a portion of their usual food with fresh options. I also make homemade bone broth using pasture-raised animals and organic veggies for an added nutritional boost—again, only with your consent will I add it to your doggo's bowl. 2. Daily Dental Care: I brush my dog’s teeth every day and use frozen carrots as a dental treat. Carrots are healthy, low-calorie, and the frozen ones do a fantastic job keeping teeth clean. For doggy clients I know well, I offer daily brushing (and carrots for all) at no extra cost, with your permission. 3. Quality Treats: I stick to single-ingredient freeze-dried or air-dried treats—no fillers, artificial colors, preservatives, etc. My Chi's favorites are Ziwi Peak, Plato, Vital Essentials, Farm Hounds, Smallbatch, and Green Juju. With your consent, my pup is happy to share these healthy treats with your pup. 4. Plenty of Playtime: I make sure dogs get plenty of outdoor time to stretch their legs and explore. On colder days, we stay active indoors with fun games and enrichment toys to keep them entertained and happy. I'm no stranger to kitties, either. I've worked for 30+ cats so far. I've developed a skill for building trust with them, picking up on their health cues, and handling all the typical cat-care tasks. Please kindly note, for drop-ins & walkings, I typically accept bookings that are within 0.5 mi. For clients that are 0.5 - 1 mi away, I don't accept 30min bookings, but am open to longer bookings.
