***Current availability: I work full-time on weekdays, and will typically have to be in office (away from the home) from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. Therefore for house sits during the week, I can only accept pets that can be left alone for ~9 hours. On weekends, I'm usually available all day.*** Growing up, I've never had pets of my own due to restrictions at home, so I took every opportunity possible to pay my neighbours' and friends' furry companions visits, as well as volunteering at animal shelters and rescues. I am a huge animal lover who enjoys working with all kinds of pets! With dogs, I have experience walking and house sitting for all types of dogs, from larger breeds like Chow Chows to mid-sized Golden Retrievers to small pups like Pomeranians. I am organized, diligent, detail-oriented, and able to provide consistent care for pups that like to be on a schedule. I have plenty of experience caring for dogs that need oral medication. I'm still learning a lot about doggy behaviours and am not a professional trainer, but I'm extremely good at following instructions and am confident in paying attention to the different needs of each individual dog. I have a lot more experience with cats, having cat-sit for friends on vacations (longest up to 2 months), and I am currently a volunteer at a Vancouver cat rescue with the role of caring for the kitties in our rescue centre before they go on to foster or forever homes. Again I'm very patient with plenty of experience caring for more skittish/fractious/anxious cats. In terms of more exotic pets, I also have experience with rats, chinchillas, snakes, and lizards.
