Pet care is a central part of my life and passion. This is not passive income or a side gig—it’s intentional, committed work that I take seriously. I plan my week around the animals I care for and ensure each pet receives focused, one-on-one attention. My schedule reflects a balance of client care and ongoing animal welfare work, including volunteer time at two shelters, a farm sanctuary, and a mini horse and donkey rescue. Boarding (when available): Includes a clean, safe home space and thoughtful routines. Travel & Commute: I’m available throughout most of the city. For locations more than ~7 miles from my home base, a modest mileage or commute-based fee may apply. House Sitting Clarification: Please define what “house sitting” means for you. Standard house sits include overnight care (evening to morning). If your pet requires full-day presence (8+ hours), this should be booked as extended care.

Safety, trust & environment
I create a calm, nurturing environment—whether in my home or yours. I build trust through focused presence and deep respect for your pet’s unique personality, pace, and preferences. I follow evidence-based, least intrusive, minimally aversive (LIMA) methods that prioritize emotional and physical well-being. My approach is gentle, responsive, and designed to reduce stress and build positive associations. I do not use shock or prong collars. I only take on a limited number of sits at a time to maintain a peaceful, low-stress environment and ensure every animal receives the attention they deserve. In your home, I treat the space with mindful care. I tidy before I leave and genuinely value being welcomed into a space that feels equally cared for. Updates & Communication: I provide regular photo updates—often with a personal touch beyond what the app allows. If preferred, I’m happy to send updates via direct text. Communication is a top priority, and your pet’s well-being is always front and center. Safety Boundaries: For safety reasons, pets should be appropriately trained. If your dog has a history of biting or non-anxious aggression, I may need to decline the stay—always with respect for your pet and a commitment to a safe experience for everyone.

UW-AAB 💕 Attuned Care
Pet care experience
🐾 Certified Animal Behaviorist (UW-AAB) I offer structured, emotionally attuned care grounded in behavioral science—not casual pet-sitting. I don’t just “watch” animals—I connect with them. My approach is calm, responsive, and tuned to each pet’s unique emotional and behavioral needs. As an active member of the Animal Behavior Society (ABS) and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), I treat this work with the professionalism and integrity it deserves. My experience includes: -Crate training and leash handling -Senior care and animals with special needs -Reactive dogs and anxious cats -Large breeds, sick/injured pets (e.g. Parvo, FeLV, Cushing’s) -Administering oral medications and daily medication routines 🏡 Overnight Care Policy: I only accept sits where dogs are comfortable sleeping in a separate room. This supports emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, and restful nights for everyone. I work best with pets who are crate-trained or able to settle independently. If your dog has severe separation anxiety or requires constant contact, I may not be the right fit—and that’s okay. 💼 Professional Standards: My rates reflect the level of care, training, and responsibility I bring to each sit. When you book with me, you’re choosing behaviorist-led care grounded in science, structure, and compassion. Let’s see how your animal and I connect—I’d love to meet them.

Reviews

Yesenia was amazing with Blurry and River. She took great care of their physical needs as well as their emotional needs by petting and playing with them throughout the day. Yesenia also did a fantastic job keeping me updated on any issues as well as sending me regular pictures and even videos of Blurry and River during her time caring for them. She followed all directions for my fur babies and was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Yesenia to care for anyone's pets.

Yesenia was fantastic! She responded quickly when I needed a short notice check in for my cat over the Christmas holiday and remained responsive throughout the week she checked in. She provided plenty of pictures of him and spent some time playing each day. And very punctual with the check ins so I knew exactly when to expect the message that a check in had started. Will absolute try to book with her again if I need another sitter (hopefully with more notice this time).

Yesenia was a great sitter for our dog! I would highly recommend her. She took the time to meet and learn more about our dog’s needs before hand and sent lots of adorable updates and photos during the stay.

Yesenia took great care of our dog. She sent lots of updates and spoiled him like her own.
