Pet care experience
Part-Time Dog Auntie
I grew up in a very dog-loving household and have around 12 years of hands-on experience caring for family dogs. Although I’m new to Rover and professional pet sitting, dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mum is a massive dog lover, so growing up our dogs were never just pets but much more like furry siblings. I helped with feeding, walking, playing, keeping them company, and generally making sure they were happy, comfortable and well cared for. I’ve always been a big animal lover, but dogs especially have a very special place in my heart. I have plenty of energy myself, so I’m more than happy with dogs who love to play, explore, go for walks or just generally keep busy. At the same time, I’m equally happy settling down with a quieter dog and giving them company, affection and attention at their own pace. Since moving away from home, I really miss having dogs around in my everyday life, and I’d genuinely love the opportunity to spend time caring for them again. If I’m trusted with your dog, I’ll treat them with the same care, patience and affection I’d want someone to give my own.

Cannot thank Kat and her husband enough for looking after my boy. I was sent pics and vids throughout his stay for the night, and by the looks of it, all 3 of them had the best time, it made me jealous! 😂 Kat and her husband are some of the kindest people I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with for dog boarding and will 10000% be using them in the future. Thank you again!! ☺️

We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter for Rudi! Kat was absolutely lovely from the start — super friendly, personable and really easy to communicate with. She kept us updated throughout Rudi’s stay, letting us know how she was doing, when she had water and treats, and how much she had eaten. Kat also took the time to ask questions about Rudi and her preferences, which really reassured us that she was being looked after properly and as an individual. We felt completely at ease knowing Rudi was with Kat, and from all the updates, it’s clear she had the best time! 🥰 Kat is fantastic and we’ll definitely be trusting her with Rudi again for any future requirements. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much! Duffy was so happy and well cared for!

Yekaterina worked with my kennel for 10 years, and I couldn’t have asked for a more responsible, caring, and trustworthy person. She took wonderful care of our six dogs, giving each one individual attention, love, and care. They absolutely adored her, sometimes I think they loved her even more than they loved us. We were truly sad when Yekaterina had to leave because she moved to another city. She became such an important part of our kennel and our family, and we will always be grateful for everything she did for our dogs.

Schedule
I’m a self-employed artist and work from home with very flexible hours, so I’m available throughout the day for walks, daycare and boarding. My husband also usually works from home, so dogs staying with us would very rarely be left alone. I’m happy to work around your dog’s usual routine, whether that means particular walk times, meals, playtime or plenty of naps and company.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
We live in a two-storey house with no children or pets of our own, and we have plenty of space for a crate if your dog uses one at home. Any areas that aren’t dog-friendly, such as my husband’s office while he’s working, can simply be closed off. We also have a private garden surrounded by a tall hedge, which dogs can enjoy with supervision, as neighbourhood cats do occasionally wander in. I’m very happy to follow whatever routine your dog is used to - in fact, if you have a written schedule or list of instructions, even better! I’ve done the same when caring for my family’s dogs, and I really appreciate knowing the little things that make each dog feel comfortable and at home. I’m also more than happy to send photos and updates while your dog is with me. I know you’re trusting me with an important member of your family, so I want you to feel comfortable and know how they’re getting on. For daycare and boarding, I’d generally prefer friendly, sociable dogs, as I may on the rare occasion care for dogs from more than one household. Although the 1+ quantity listing is mainly a way to let families that have more than one dog know I am available for booking. We don’t drive, so our walks and outings stay local and on foot. We have a vet only around 10 minutes from home.
A typical day
I’ll follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible with walks, supervised garden time, play, enrichment and plenty of chances to sniff around and explore. I’m home most of the day, so there’s also lots of time for attention, cuddles, naps and just hanging out together. Activities can always be adjusted depending on your dog’s age, energy level and personality. For the lazier dogs, they’re more than welcome to supervise while I work on my art or take on the very important job of keeping the couch warm. For the more energetic dogs, we can have a run around the garden, play some games and burn off a little extra energy together.

- Please don't let this long list stress you out - These are just the kinds of things I'd normally ask about during our Meet & Greet. The more information the merrier, but I'm happy to work with all kinds of dogs and this is mainly so I can keep their routine familiar and make them as comfortable as possible. ▪What does their usual schedule look like regarding feeding, walking, and toilet breaks? ▪How often can they have treats? ▪Do they respond to some commands, such as recall command? ▪Where do they normally sleep? Do they prefer company, their own space, or a crate? ▪Do they have any fears, nervous behaviors, resource guarding, or chewing habits? ▪How are they around other dogs, cats, children and strangers? ▪On that note, are they likely to chase animals or need extra space from dogs while walking? ▪Are they an escape artist or likely to run through an open door/jump fences? ▪Are they trained for outdoor toilet breaks, or should I have puppy pads available? ▪Are there any medical needs, medication or other special care I should know about? ▪If relevant, are they spayed/neutered? ▪What will you be bringing with them? Food, lead/harness, bedding, favourite toys, treats, etc. ▪Who is their usual vet, and is there an emergency contact I should have just in case? I am an omega dog lover - so the way I see it, a Meet & Greet is more of a chance for you to have a look around our home, and make sure you're comfortable with where your little furry family member will be staying. So feel free reach out if you ever have any questions or concerns :)
