Your Dog’s Home Away From Home 🤗
We’re passionate dog parents who feel happiest when surrounded by dogs. Our journey with animals began in Egypt, where we volunteered in shelters and helped rescue stray dogs and cats. Today, we live in Vancouver with our beloved 8 year old Labrador girl, who traveled with us all the way from Cairo. She’s more than a pet—she’s family. We’re also the proud owners of Bark The Dog Bakery, where we create wholesome, natural treats and cakes for dogs. Caring for pups isn’t just something we do at home—it’s at the heart of our lifestyle and work. Our goal is to give every guest dog the same love, care, and comfort we give our own. We understand how difficult it can be for pets to be away from home, so we create a safe, welcoming second home where they feel secure and happy. We balance long walks, playtime, and meaningful one-on-one attention to build trust and ensure every dog gets what they need. We believe a tired dog is a happy dog, but we also understand that not every pup thrives on exercise. For low-energy or special-needs dogs, we focus on play, enrichment, and mental stimulation. We also have experience with seniors and puppies who may need extra care and patience. At home, dogs are family. They’re welcome on our bed, couch, and in our living space because we love keeping them close. Our Labrador is gentle, playful, and always eager to make new friends—your fur baby will have a built-in companion from the moment they arrive. We’re committed to providing a loving, calm, and joyful environment so every dog feels right at home while you’re away.

Our pup Joey had the best time with Jazzy, Yasmeen, and Amir. Jazzy was such a gracious and gentle host, eager to play with our energetic pup and welcome him into her home. Yasmeen and Amir spoiled Joey with walk upon walk in between loads of play time and tummy rubs. And I think we got more photos and videos of Joey than we’ve taken ourselves in our 4 months having him at home. I wouldn’t hesitate to ask Yasmeen and Amir to take care of Joey the next time we’re out of town.
When I got my pup, one of the best pieces of advice I received was to find a consistent Rover; someone your dog can feel truly comfortable with and excited to stay with when you’re away. That advice has been especially important for me, since I travel quite a bit for work. I feel incredibly grateful to have found Yasmin & Amir. My dog literally jumps for joy when he sees them and is best friends with Jazzy. They are truly wonderful people with such a genuine love for dogs, and they take the most incredible care of your fur babies.
Yasmeen and Amir are the best! They took such great care of my pup keeping me posted throughout the daycare on his day and activities. They’re patient, very understanding and their dog is very friendly! Would definitely recommend and come back again!

Schedule
Pet care fits seamlessly into our daily lives because we both work from home. Our Labrador is by our side all day, and we love creating the same routine for guest dogs—plenty of walks, play, cuddle breaks, and calm downtime while we work. Dogs are never left alone for long stretches, and we’re always close by for comfort and supervision. We also understand that every dog has different needs. Senior dogs may need slower walks, more rest, or extra patience, while puppies often need shorter potty breaks, playtime, and guidance. Because of our flexible schedule, we’re able to adapt to each dog’s pace, making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved throughout the day.

When dogs stay with us, they’re treated like family. They can relax on the couch or bed, enjoy plenty of playtime, and go on daily walks suited to their energy level. Our Labrador is gentle and social, so guest dogs always have a companion. We keep a safe, clean environment, and every dog gets one-on-one attention, enrichment, and lots of love. Seniors get extra comfort and care, while puppies receive patient guidance and more frequent potty/play breaks.

A typical day
We love keeping dogs happy and engaged with a mix of fun activities tailored to their personality. For playful pups, that means fetch, tug of war, enrichment games, and plenty of outdoor adventures like long walks or trips to dog friendly parks and trails. For dogs who enjoy calmer days, we do puzzle toys, snuffle mats, and cozy cuddle sessions. Our own Labrador is very gentle and social, so guest dogs always have a buddy for playtime or companionship. Puppies get extra play breaks to burn off energy and learn good habits, while senior dogs enjoy slow walks, gentle enrichment, and lots of comfort. Every dog gets a balance of fun, exercise, and relaxation so they go home tired, happy, and well loved.

- It’s really important for us to know as much as possible about your dog ahead of time so we can give them the best care. Things like any allergies, what motivates them (whether it’s food, toys, or cuddles), and the activities they enjoy most all help us create a routine that feels familiar and fun. We also love to know what makes your pup feel safe and comfortable, as well as anything they don’t like or that may cause them stress. The more we understand your dog’s personality and needs, the easier it is for us to make them feel at home and cared for just like they are with you.
