My cat, Shiny, is a sensitive and independent soul who needed time and space before she could trust me. When I first adopted her, she didn’t like being touched and would only tolerate being held for a few seconds. Over time, I learned her preferences—where she liked to be pet, how to respect her boundaries, and when she wanted company versus alone time. Now, she follows me around the house and loves to curl up next to me. That journey taught me how to be patient, observant, and attuned to a cat’s unique personality and body language. I believe this experience helps me connect with cats who may be shy, cautious, or simply need care that respects their individuality.

Absolutely fantastic! Yan took such great care of Derek and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She took him out, made sure he was fed, and gave him plenty of attention and care while I was away. Derek was happy and completely comfortable with her, which means everything to me. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly wonderful with dogs. I felt completely at ease knowing Derek was in such good hands. I would 100% trust her with him again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable and caring to look after their pup!
10/10!!! I was so nervous leaving my babies for an extended period but Yan not only kept me updated, sent lots of photos, but she went above & beyond!! I HIGHLY recommend Yan - especially if you’re an anxious furparent like myself :)
Yan did a great job taking care of my cats while I was away. My one cat is shy so she didn’t get to meet her but she played with my other cat, gave her treats, and showed her some love. The litterbox was kept clean as well. She also sent me plenty of cute photos to update me with each visit! I would highly recommend Yan for looking after your felines!
Yan did a great job with my two cats! One of my cats is really particular about things and she adjusted great to his needs. So so happy with her! I could travel with the peace of mind that my babies were well taken care of! Highly recommend, especially for owners with more particular cats!
Yan took great care of Aurora, and Aurora had a great time with her. We hope to book Yan again in the future!!

Schedule
I work full time during the day, so I’m available for drop-in visits or walks in the evenings and on weekends. I’m happy to discuss specific timing to make sure it fits your pet’s needs.
- CatsYan can host up to 2 drop-ins per day
- I’d love to know your pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs in advance. Are they shy or outgoing? Do they enjoy play or prefer quiet companionship? Any health concerns, medications, or things they dislike (e.g., vacuum noise, being picked up)? For dogs, I’d also like to know their walking habits, leash behavior, and how they usually respond to other animals or people. The more I know, the better I can make them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away!
