If the position requires staying at the client’s home—whether just for the day or overnight—I will always begin by confirming which areas and items I am allowed to access. After the pet-sitting, I will leave the space clean and tidy as before, as I see this as part of being responsible and respectful. If an overnight stay is needed, I’ll also make sure to discuss in advance which daily essentials will be provided and what I should bring myself. My principle is open communication and mutual respect. If I’m invited into your home, I will treat your space and preferences with the utmost care—but I also hope to be welcomed as a guest whose needs and comfort are equally valued.

Information Xing D. would like to know about your pet
At the moment, I live in a 22sqm student corridor, so might not able to accommodate dogs with severe separation anxiety, likely to bark a lot or those who tend to pull excessively on the leash. Thank you for your understanding!
A typical day
I’d love to play ball with your dog at home! During walks, I usually take a stroll and then head to the dog park to play frisbee—it all depends on your preferences and your dog’s needs. Of course, if your dog prefers to stay indoors, I’m more than happy to be couch potatoes together. I also enjoy taking lots of photos to keep dog owners updated and reassured.

Pet care experience
Hello there! My name is Xing. I’m currently a master’s student at Lund University, working on my thesis with no ongoing coursework, which means I have a very flexible schedule and can easily adapt to what works best for both of us. One of my strongest qualities is being detail-oriented and consistently responsible. For example, I always block the doorway with my body when opening the door to prevent dogs from running out, keep a close eye on the leash around bikes or traffic areas, and make sure dogs don’t eat anything unfamiliar. I believe in staying fully attentive to ensure their safety and comfort at all times. After working on Rover for such a long time, I think I am an experienced and trustworthy dog sitter and you would definitely love to work with me. 😊
Reviews

I can highly recommend Xing. Our dog was so calm and happy when we picked him up. She updated us from time to time with pictures, which felt very reassuring. We would definitely reach out for her if we need a dog sitter again. Thank you for taking such good care of our Simba!

Xing did a wonderful job! She was very communicative and asked all the right questions when she came by for an initial meeting to see our cat Matisek. She took great care of him while we were gone and I’m happy he got lots of care and playtime. Thanks Xing!

We felt completely at ease knowing that Xing was taking care of our cats. Everything was perfect when we returned home, and she kept us updated with regular messages and photos during her visits.
