About Me Hi! I'm Xiaohang, originally from Hangzhou, a beautiful city in eastern China. I'm currently a postdoctoral researcher at Karolinska Institutet, where I've been living in Stockholm for the past eight months. During my time here, I've experienced Stockholm's crystal-clear winter, vibrant spring, and now its beautiful summer. I genuinely enjoy living here, but there's one thing I miss every day—my family and my little dog back home. I grew up in a pet-loving family, and dogs have always been part of my life. My own dog, Tai, is an eight-year-old golden girl who has been my little sister for many years. We grew up together—playing games, running through parks and forests, and quietly keeping each other company. Even now, whenever I return home, she's always the first to greet me with the biggest welcome and happiest tail wag. She reminds me how much comfort and happiness animals bring into our lives. Being away from Tai has made me realize how much I miss spending time with dogs. That's one of the reasons I'd love to care for pets here in Stockholm. It would be wonderful to share companionship with local furry friends while helping owners feel confident that their pets are in safe, caring hands. As a researcher, my schedule is quite flexible, which allows me to arrange dog walks and home visits throughout the week. Whether your dog loves long walks, slow sniffing adventures, or simply staying close to someone calm and patient, I'm happy to adapt to their personality and routine. My goal is always to make every pet feel safe, respected, and relaxed. I believe every dog and cat has their own unique personality, and I never try to rush or change them. Instead, I take the time to earn their trust, respect their boundaries, and care for them with patience, kindness, and plenty of affection—just as I would with Tai.
