Availability

I currently work 7 - 3 Monday through Friday with a 30 minute commute. For meet and greets and drop-ins, my Saturdays are typically completely open and Sunday I am typically unavailable until about 1:00 pm, but arrangements can be made. Sunday does have some flexibility. As for dog walks, I prefer to not walk dogs if there isn't a main well traveled road or if there is no usable sidewalk in the winter. It gets a little sketchy and I want to be as safe as I can with your puppy.

Safety, trust & environment

At my home in the past, we have crate trained all our puppies in the house for if they need it. When I was able to puppy sit, we were able to section off portions on the residents if different animals has a tendency to get scrappy. As for schedules, I am used to following schedules for things like potty time, food and medication. I have experience giving pets medication and keeping a time log of when pets went potty and taken any medication.

Information Wren A. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if your dog (or cat) has any specific needs or triggers that I would need to know about. I am better with hound breeds as I have had several different hound breed dogs. I am very comfortable around shepherd, poodles, labs, boxers, bully breed and large dogs. My favorite breeds are hound and bully. Two of my favorite dogs to watch were a Staffordshire bull terrier and a mastiff. Big dogs, full of play, full of awesome!

A typical day

What toys does your dog have? I love playong catch, running in the sprinklers or using the hose with them. Most dogs in my life that I have owned or watched love to chase the hose or sprinkler or love playing in the water. I have had kiddies pools for the dogs to play and bath in and they have had a great time. In the winter I have had dogs that love to catch the snow and snowballs and could do so for hours. I think it's so much fun for dogs to run through the backyard full of snow. I will shovel pathways for them to run around in areas that are much too deep and give them the option of shallow snow they can move in or being able to jump into deeper snow. Ponds and lakes in the summer are a ton of fun as well. I have owned or watched very few dogs that won't chase a stick into the water to go get it. I personally love when dogs like to play tug of war or get amped up being chased around the house or backyard.

Pet care experience

I have taken care of weeks old dogs and cats, senior dogs and everything in between. I was with somebody in a committed relationship in which my partner was a long time dog trainer. For over ten years I learned about safely walking dogs. I bought a nighttime walking vest and a light up leash. I have participated in CGC training classes and have run one of my puppies through an agility course training, which takes a great level of communication skills between you and your puppy. With senior dogs, my partners and I setup accommodations for them with things like stairs to get up on our bed, carrying a dog down and up stairs if needed. Our senior dogs had incontinence and we had to buy doggy diapers and setup rooms and spaces for them so that if they had an accident, the mess would be contained.

Wren was very communicative with me and asked lots of good questions about Moose. He sent us lots of pictures and updates. Moose is very sensitive but Wren was very patient with him and took care of his extra needs. We’ll definitely be working with Wren again!

Wren is very trustworthy, responsible and thoughtful about my dog. He makes sure she doesn’t get wet in the rain that she is eating and doing ok. He walks my dog on weekdays. Very pleased. Highly recommend him
