I don't rush things with pets and I let them get close to me first when they feel comfortable. I keep them away from other pets when walking, unless told otherwise. I respect client's belongings and make sure pets do too.

We will kick things off with a short walk. Then we'll have a little rest and snack. Next, we play, usually outside. Then we'll go for a longer walk and possibly play with other pets. In the evening we'll get a little more rest and go for a short walk if needed.

Pet care experience

I had cats in my household since I can remember! I'm natural cat lover and since 2016 I fell in love with dogs too. It started with sitting my neighbor's dogs and then my sister's friend. I've regularly (at least once a month) taken care of two Shih Tzu at the same time for about 3 years now.

Excellent communication. He always puts the dog first. He had to take numerous very rainy walks with our guy and did it with no complaints. Baxter is so relaxed with him.

If I could give zero stars I would, and I would recommend anyone thinking about hiring Wayne to stay far, far away. Wayne was negligent if not willfully neglectful. I have an ongoing case with Rover Trust & Safety and I had to talk to Rover to find a replacement mid-trip. What he did while I was away could have led to my cat needing emergency vet treatment or even worse happening. I booked Wayne as a new sitter for my cat because I made last-minute plans; the meet and greet seemed to go fine. However the visits from the very start went horrible. He initially did not use the standard check-in/check-out/report card feature even though my booking had the selection to do so. I asked him to do so, and his first report card was the barest of minimums with one picture and it just said "all good". From there it went downhill further. Then things turned into significant safety concerns. My cat has a prescription canned food with a supplement powder. Psyllium powder, when ingested as dry powder (and too much of it) is a danger to cats. I gave verbal instructions as well as the care instructions were on Rover & on my fridge. He disregarded them altogether and I happened to see her bowl in the background of a picture with a heaping of dry powder on top. He also lied about scooping the litter; first said he scooped the litter then he admitted to me that he only scooped the visible pees on top & didn't do a full scoop, but said he did a full scoop the next visit. However, I was so concerned for my cat's welfare & health that I had a friend drop in between Wayne's visit and the next sitter; they scooped my cat's litter and the litter bag was almost full. When I got home I also saw in the trash can the proof that Wayne had only scooped a few pees off the top of her litter box and never once in 5 visits did a full scoop of my cat's 2 litter boxes. This is another safety concern because my cat has IBD and I asked in the meet and greet for him to keep an eye on her litter box habits & stools. He did not feed my cat the right amount of canned food based on the cans in the trash, and I don't trust that he gave her the correct medications/dosages given everything else. All of this taken together, this is a sitter who should never be allowed to take care of someone's cherished pet in the future.

Wayne took amazing care of our senior dog who was having some health issues. He was so thorough with updates and really observed her carefully. By the time we got home she was better than when we left. Really grateful for the care and attention he provides

Had the best experience with you! Our dog looked forward to every day he would get his walks! Very timely and responsive! I would still be using him if our schedules aligned. Thanks for a great experience!
