I've been around animals my whole life. Growing up, my family had golden retrievers, a lab/malamute mix, five cats, and even horses and goats, so I'm comfortable with animals of all sizes and personalities. In my adult life, I've owned, trained and cared for a bloodhound/coonhound mix as well as our current Australian/German Shepherd. Feeding, litter boxes, medications, and daily routines are second nature. Our Australian/German shepherd mix is super anxious, which has helped me to be a patient caretaker who knows how to read a nervous pet and build trust slowly. I'm also experienced with basic obedience and giving medications. I'm active and love being outdoors, so dogs get whatever suits them best: neighborhood walks, trail hikes, runs, playtime, light training sessions, or a lazy day on the couch. I skip dog parks because they can be unpredictable. You can expect prompt, proactive communication and regular photo updates, so you never have to wonder how things are going.
