Pet care experience

Asian dog whisperer. I love dogs.

I will treat your fur baby as lovingly as I do my own. I have been around dogs as an owner for over 20 years and am also patient, as I've taught my own dogs and others many tricks. I have experience working with toy size dogs all the way up to larger Doberman and Chow Chow sized dogs. I also have cared for my own dogs over the years from puppy age to senior age. If housesitting for you, my schedule is generally flexible. I prefer housebroken dogs if hosting. I always prefer a meet and greet between us first just to make sure your pet gets familiar with me and to answer any questions or needs you have for your pet so that I can care for them properly while you're away.

This was my first time using William as a sitter and he was great! My pul was so happy from the minute they met ..you can immediately tell he’s really good with dogs and made her feel comfortable. He sent me pictures throughout her stay, which I really appreciated. I would definitely use William again! 😊

I wish that I could give a good review for William, but I cannot. I was encouraged in hiring him, that he had such great ratings on Rover, and has been background checked and pet sitting for many years. So... here is our experience. I confirmed two or three times that he had the address of our Air BnB, but the first morning, he went to the location of our conference, NOT our Air BnB. That made us late to open our conference table. When William arrived that first morning, I showed him how I feed the puppies, which is a combination of a very small amount of kibble, with 1/2 cup each of my home-made food that I brought from home. I explained how I warm the food and put it over the kibble. William sent a text of what he fed them, and said the weren't eating. What he fed them was 1/2 cup of kibble warmed up. I told him that was not correct, and he then fed them correctly. When I booked William, he noted that he goes to church on Sunday, and said that he would be leaving on SUNDAY for 2 hours. I told him that would be fine, but the puppies, who are 9 months old, would need to be put in their kennel while he was at church. Well, on SATURDAY, I hadn't heard from William for a few hours, and I texted him to check-in, but didn't hear back. I then tried to call him, twice, with no answer. I was getting worried at that point, and was about to send my partner back to the Air BnB to check on things, when I did get a text back with a pic and note that William had left the house to go get ice cream with his wife! He left my puppies roaming around the Air BnB, ALONE, and did not crate them. He ignored my instructions, and told my partner that they were CALM when he left for ice cream!! The puppies damaged a welcome mat made of a dense material that they were chewing up. Those puppies could have found something on the floor that was left, something poison, something sharp, something that they could have choked on! William seemed to think it was humorous, and said the rascals got bored and started chewing! When my partner went to collect the dogs and relieve William of his service, William acted like it was a inconvenience to us. What it was is blatant irresponsibility of his service. He did, ultimately, apologize and said he learned from the experience, I was shocked that he has all 5 STAR ratings on Rover, and has been pet sitting for over 10 years. I asked him if he had ever left his pet sitting post before, but didn’t respond to that. I am grateful that our puppies, who are like children to us, are safe. We ended up taking them to our conference on the final day with their crate. Fortunately it was at a hotel that was pet friendly, otherwise we would have lost a day of attendance at our conference. This was my first bad experience with Rover, and I have three upcoming pet sitters at we have travel in October and November. I will notify those sitters of this experience, and remind them to never leave my puppies while sitting for them.

Great sitter! He was super chill and Cardiff seemed very happy and relaxed when we picked him up from daycare! We will definitely book with him again when we are in Las Vegas! Thank you William!

William was absolutely amazing with my sweet fur baby, Chanel! From the moment I left her in his care, I knew she was in good hands. He kept me updated throughout her stay and regularly sent pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind and let me see how happy and comfortable she was. Chanel is my senior "old lady," so it's especially important to me that she's cared for with patience, kindness, and attention. William went above and beyond to make sure she was well taken care of, and it truly showed. I highly recommend William to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and professional to care for their pets. I will absolutely be using him again in the future. Thank you, William, for treating Chanel like one of your own!

Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present

Safety, trust & environment

I have a gated yard but the majority of time your Fur baby would be staying with me under close supervision. Unless told otherwise I will walk your dog on a daily basis.

A typical day

In my neighborhood I have many walking areas so there are plenty of different smells for your dog to explore. I will walk your dog according to any normal schedule you have that your dog is used to.

0 to 15 lbs
Dogs over 1 year old
Crate-trained dogs only
Takes only 1 client at a time
William can host up to 2 pets per night
I can accommodate most special needs for just about any size or breed. I just need to be notified and instructed what those needs are. If hosting, I will generally only take in small to medium sized dogs, but all sizes are welcome if I'm house-sitting/dog sitting at your place.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
