Pet care experience

Let me love your dog-gone dog.

I'm not a professional pet caresman, this is not my business. I just want to be able to help regular people who want a regular person taking care of their great (but regular) dog. I really want your dog to enjoy their time with me and vice versa, but I want it be as regular and stress free as possible for all involved. If your dog has special food or water to use, that's fine. If you want them to practice their obedience training in the park, sure we can work on that. If your dog loves listening to Chaucer.. I'd probably just read them aloud the news (nothing too extreme I'm not a monster) or The Economist or possibly Watchmen. We all have our limits. I can stay overnight at your home if needed for sitting, but it's not required if you don't require it. I will keep your doggo or gato out of harm's way and won't pour water on them or feed them after midnight. Unless they only eat after midnight I guess.

Safety, trust & environment

I will follow your guidelines to a T. I love animals and will take care of them as my own. For housesitting stays, my partner (who also petsits often) and I usually tag team responsibilities if the owner is comfortable with it - extra attention for your furball and gives backup in case anything happens with my schedule or in case life throws a curveball.

William did amazing with our three dogs, each with unique needs. He came over and took his time getting to know them during the meet and greet. Then during the sit he managed to walk all three of them skillfully, despite them being big pullers. One of our dogs had some behavior problems while William was over and he handled it wonderfully. He notified us immediately and tried various things patiently until our dog calmed down. Our dogs' quirks didn't scare William away from agreeing to sit them again. We will definitely be inviting William to watch our dogs again. Thank you William!!

William and his partner were absolutely wonderful house sitters for our large airedale. They took great care of him and our house and were communicative, giving us pictures and updates throughout our time away. William has a lovely relaxed vibe that our dog very much appreciated as he often nervous about being left behind. Highly recommend!!

William took our last minute call and has done a great job. Ruby Rose liked him from the meet and greet. Pets were well looked after and looked happy when we came back. I would hire William again.

William was absolutely fantastic with my 7-year-old pitbull-mastiff mix, Maple, while I was away for three weeks. Leaving her for that long was tough, but William gave me complete peace of mind with regular updates, photos, and messages that showed just how well she was being cared for. Maple is a bit of a gentle giant, and William handled her with such kindness, confidence, and attention; it was clear she was in great hands. I came home to a happy, relaxed dog who clearly felt comfortable and was well looked after. I’m so grateful to have found someone so reliable and compassionate. Highly recommend William to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!

William and his wife watched Iggy at my house for a week while I was away. They were easy to communicate with, flexible when needed, and took great care of my dog and home. They left everything in great shape and I think Iggy had an awesome time. Thank you again!!

William has been consistently helpful with Finn and accommodating on our changing schedule, including very short notice bookings sometimes. Very reliable!

Schedule

I work remotely and have a flexible schedule, so can accommodate most requests within a reasonable distance. If house-sitting and prefer us to stay in more to curb separation anxiety, totally doable. Or you want us to stay out to not create that issue that's perfectly fine too.

Do they enjoy Seinfeld? Did they cry when Old Yeller died? Seriously I always like to know what your pet's already built routine looks like, who or what to avoid outdoors, if I should carry them out the building so they don't pee on the hallway floors, etc.
