We both work from home, ensuring any furry visitors have maximum attention and strokes throughout the day. During the week, we regularly let pets out into the yard for breaks, as well as two walks a day (to stretch our legs and theirs!). On the weekends we love to adventure into the parks for hiking or lake days, and we're always eager to bring your pup with us!

We live in a house with a fully fenced yard that’s perfect for potty breaks and playtime. There’s a security camera system on the property, and we never leave dogs outside alone — we’re always right there with them. We also have indoor cameras so we can check in on your pup if we need to run out for a quick errand, just to make sure they’re safe and settled. Our yard backs right onto beautiful forest trails, and we’re a short walk from a great dog park too. That said, with unpredictable wildlife in the area, we always keep dogs on-leash during walks unless we’ve discussed otherwise with you in advance — and only if we both feel confident in your pup’s recall and comfort level. Your dog’s safety (and ours!) is the top priority, and we want to make sure everyone stays safe and happy no matter where we’re adventuring. We’re both used to handling outdoor animal encounters and tailor each outing to what your dog enjoys — whether that’s quiet sniffy walks, socialising, or just a quick pee break in the backyard.
Information William & Ellie N. would like to know about your pet
We must be aware of any form of leash aggression, reactivity, or wildlife aggression ahead of time. Since we spend a lot of time in nature, it is important for us to know if the dog has a strong prey drive and/or is reactive with other animals. We have extensive experience fostering shelter dogs that have needed medical care and/or have behavioural difficulties - we are happy to accommodate any needs but we must have transparency about this from the first inquiry.
A typical day
We start every morning with a walk or hike right from our backyard — the trails are gorgeous and perfect for a exploring (and a good morning stretch!). We also like heading to the national parks and lakes nearby when we have more time, or visiting the dog park if your pup is social and wants to make some new friends. If your dog prefers staying in or if the weather’s chilly, we’ve got plenty of ways to keep them entertained inside — think treat hunts, towel games, lick mats, or snuggles on the couch. We follow each dog’s routine and energy level so their stay feels fun, comfy, and familiar.

Pet care experience
Hi! We’re Will and Ellie (Wellie) — a British couple living permanently in Canada who work in the entertainment industry and love spending our downtime with furry friends. I (Ellie) have been fostering dogs since I was a teenager — especially pups who needed a little extra love, whether they were seniors, had medical issues, or came from tough backgrounds. I’ve helped care for lots of dogs who needed time to heal before finding their forever homes, so I’m super comfortable with giving meds, managing mobility, and just being a calm, reassuring presence. I’ve also looked after dogs with reactivity — whether that’s around other animals, people, or wildlife — and I always tailor care to what each dog needs to feel safe. Will works in wildlife and has tons of experience around animals too, so between the two of us, your pup is in good hands! We’ve both done in-home pet sitting (dogs and cats!) and have experience with everything from high-energy pups to cuddle bugs. We bought a house here in Canada just a year ago, and we're excited to start helping local families with their pets soon!
Reviews

Rosie had a wonderful time at William and Ellie's! We received timely communication and they went put of their way to make sure she was well cared. We would definitely book again with no hesitation.

My dog, Theo, is a bit anxious in new situations and so he won’t eat. When we arrived, Theo started exploring Ellie’s home right away. He seemed comfortable right away.

William and Ellie were the perfect choice. They were so attentive to all my requests, early drop offs and late pick ups. We felt completely comfortable leaving our dog with them. We received regular updates during the time we were gone which made the time away feel more enjoyable. They both clearly love animals and took incredible care of ours. We will definitely use them again when we go away.

Ellie was super nice and made sure our dog (who was a bit anxious) was comfortable and had a nice time. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
