Pet care experience

Loves all breeds!

I have a background in animal science, zoo animal care, and veterinary medicine, so animals are already a huge part of my everyday life. I’m comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages and personalities, including puppies and senior pets that may need extra patience or medications. I also have experience with exotic and pocket pets as well. Elderly animals honestly have a huge soft spot in my heart, and I really enjoy giving them the extra comfort and slower-paced care they may need.

Wilhelmina was fantastic! Maddie had such a great time there than I think she was even depressed coming home! It was that good! If I could I'd give 6 stars. Wilhelmina was very loving with Maddie and treated her as her own. Her dog, Olive, was very friendly and they got along really well. Lots of pictures, videos and updates. Highly recommend Wilhelmina as a sitter.

Hands down the best sitter we’ve had in the area. If you have a senior dog, she is the one to choose! She went above and beyond to make sure our German shepherd was comfortable and taken care of, and was always keeping us updated even when we were slow to respond. I will definitely rebook in the future! 10 stars!!!

Schedule

I’m currently in school full-time for Zoo Animal Technology, so animal care is already a major part of my daily routine. While I do have classes during the day, I’m able to return home every few hours for potty breaks, check-ins, feeding, and care. My evenings are usually very open, which allows plenty of time for walks, enrichment, playtime, cuddles, and maintaining your pet’s normal routine. Because my schedule already revolves around animals, I’m very used to structured care, monitoring behavior, and providing attention throughout the day.

Safety, trust & environment

For boarding in my home, I try to keep things calm, safe, and comfortable so pets can settle in easier while their owners are away. I have a small fully fenced-in brick/grassy courtyard for potty breaks and outside time, and I keep doors closed inside the home to help prevent accidents or escapes. Since I’m in school during the day, I do leave for classes, but I come home every few hours for check-ins, potty breaks, feeding, and attention. I also have a camera set up in the living room so I can monitor pets while I’m away. Pet parents are more than welcome to bring kennels, beds, blankets, toys, or other items from home if it helps their pet feel more comfortable. I know every animal adjusts differently, so I try to work with their personality and normal routine as much as possible.

Pets

A typical day

A typical day is pretty relaxed and centered around keeping pets comfortable and entertained. We’ll do potty breaks and walks throughout the day, hang out together inside, watch TV, and spend time relaxing or playing depending on the pet’s energy level and personality. In the evenings, I usually have more free time for longer walks, extra playtime, enrichment, or cuddles. With owner permission, I also enjoy taking dogs to local nature trails for a change of scenery and more stimulating walks. I try to match each pet’s normal routine and activity level as much as possible so they feel at home.

My favorite breeds are pitbulls, but I have a lot of experience with all breeds and age ranges. For walking and house visits, I’d just like to know a pets confidence near vehicles and reactivity to other dogs/people/animals. For house sitting, please let me know if your pet is potty trained, any medications they may need and how much you feed them. I would like to provide the best care possible.
