Safe, Loving Care While You’re Away
Hi! We’re Whitney and Austin—two lifelong dog lovers who believe every pup deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and completely loved while their family is away! We’re proud pet parents to a playful Husky mix and a smart, energetic Australian Shepherd. Caring for our own intelligent, active—and occasionally stubborn—dogs has taught us the importance of patience, consistency, exercise, mental stimulation, and lots of affection. Dogs are truly part of our family, and we’ll treat yours the same way. We understand that every dog has a different personality and routine. Some pups are ready for long walks and nonstop play, while others are happiest cuddling on the couch or relaxing in a quiet space. We’ll take the time to learn what makes your dog feel happy and secure, then personalize their care accordingly. We’re comfortable with dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and energy levels, as well as homes with multiple dogs. When your dog is in our care, you can expect: • Walks, playtime, and enrichment suited to their energy level • Meals, potty breaks, and medications given according to your instructions • Plenty of attention, patience, cuddles, and affection • Frequent photos and updates for your peace of mind • Respect for your dog’s routine, boundaries, and preferences • A safe, welcoming environment where your pup will be treated like family We’re conveniently located in the Cedar City, Utah, area and are happy to care for dogs from Cedar City, Enoch, and surrounding Southern Utah communities. We also welcome families traveling from elsewhere in Utah or out of state. Whether you’re visiting Cedar City, exploring nearby national parks, enjoying Brian Head, attending a local event, or simply passing through, we’d love to give your pup a safe and loving place to stay while you enjoy your trip. We know that leaving your dog with someone new can feel stressful. Our goal is to make the experience as easy and reassuring as possible for both you and your pup. You’ll receive regular updates, and your dog will receive the same kindness, attention, and care we give our own. Whether you need doggy daycare, overnight boarding, walks, or drop-in visits, we’d love to learn more about your dog and what makes them feel at home. Send us a message to introduce your pup or schedule a meet-and-greet—we can’t wait to meet you!

Ratings and reviews
I picked Whitney as a pet sitter because she has a fenced backyard with grass. We visit Cedar City for the Shakespeare Festival to visit the National Parks in the area every summer. We are from the Houston, Texas area and our dog Hamish expects to play and do his business on grass which can be scarce out West. Hamish had a great time at Whitney's Doggy Day Care playing with Whitney's dog Mable. She sent me a couple of photos of a happy Hamish while we were hiking at Bryce Canyon National Park. We were a bit late picking Hamish up, but I had let Whitney know that we were on our way and she didn't seen to mind. I plan to use Whitney again net year.

Whitney and Austin were so great with our dog Brownie! They accommodated all her needs wonderfully and it was the first time we’d left her anywhere and didn’t feel worried about her while we were away. Whitney sent us update pictures every day and we could tell Brownie was happy and doing so well at their home. Highly knowledgeable about dogs and canine behavior in general I would definitely have Brownie stay again!

What all can I say about Whitney, besides that she is amazing. There is no one I would trust more to watch my Bridgy then her. I have complete peace of mind when I know she is coming to walk and play with my pup!

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into our daily lives. I work remotely on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, which allows me to be home for most of the day to provide extra attention, regular potty breaks, playtime, enrichment, and plenty of cuddles. These are especially great days for doggy daycare and overnight guests who enjoy having someone nearby. Austin and I coordinate our schedules to make sure every dog receives dependable, attentive care. On days when I’m not working remotely, we plan each pup’s meals, walks, potty breaks, medications, and activities around their normal routine. Before accepting a booking, we’ll make sure our schedule is a good fit for your dog’s individual needs, including puppies, senior dogs, and pups who need additional attention or more frequent breaks. We welcome dogs from Cedar City, Enoch, and surrounding Southern Utah communities, as well as families visiting from elsewhere in Utah or traveling from out of state.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are our top priorities. We know that staying somewhere new can be an adjustment, so we focus on creating a calm, welcoming environment while following your pup’s normal routine as closely as possible. Our home is shared with Marley, our friendly Husky mix, and Mable, our playful Australian Shepherd. If your dog enjoys being around other dogs and everyone is comfortable, we’ll provide careful introductions and supervised playtime. We never force interactions and can provide separate spaces for feeding, resting, or decompressing whenever needed. We closely follow your instructions regarding meals, medications, exercise, crate routines, sleeping arrangements, and household boundaries. Outdoor time and interactions between dogs are supervised, and we pay close attention to each dog’s body language and comfort level. You’ll also receive frequent photos and honest updates so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, we treat both the pet and the home with respect. We keep your dog’s routine consistent, secure doors and entryways, refresh food and water, provide walks and potty breaks, and make sure your pup receives plenty of companionship in the place where they already feel most comfortable. Whether your dog stays with us or we care for them in your home, they’ll receive patient, dependable, and loving care tailored to their individual needs.

A typical day
No two dogs are exactly alike, so no two days in our care have to look exactly the same! We plan each pup’s day around their age, personality, energy level, and established routine. A typical day may begin with a morning potty break, breakfast, and some attention before starting the day’s activities. Energetic pups may enjoy walks, fetch, tug-of-war, outdoor play, or simple agility-inspired games. Dogs who enjoy mental challenges may receive puzzle toys, scent games, enrichment activities, or opportunities to practice familiar commands. If your dog is social and everyone is comfortable, they may also enjoy carefully supervised playtime with Marley and Mable. For senior dogs, shy pups, or professional couch potatoes, we’re just as happy to provide gentle walks, quiet companionship, cozy rest breaks, and plenty of cuddles. We also build downtime into the day so dogs have time to relax and avoid becoming overstimulated. Meals, medications, potty breaks, and bedtime routines are followed according to your instructions. Throughout the visit, we’ll send regular photos and updates so you can see how your pup is settling in and enjoying their time with us. Our goal is to give your dog the kind of day that makes them feel safe, happy, loved, and at home.

- ***Important Information to Know Ahead of Time*** We want every booking to be safe, comfortable, and enjoyable for your dog, our dogs, and everyone involved. Before confirming a stay, we’d love to learn: • Your dog’s age, breed, size, personality, and energy level • Their usual feeding, walking, potty, and sleeping schedule • How long they are normally comfortable being left alone • Whether they are fully house-trained or need frequent potty breaks • Any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, medications, or special care needs • How they behave around other dogs, children, and unfamiliar adults • Whether they have shown reactivity, aggression, resource guarding, or escape behavior • Whether they experience separation anxiety, excessive barking, or destructive behavior • Any fears or triggers, including storms, fireworks, food, toys, or certain types of handling • Whether they use a crate and where they normally sleep • Whether they are spayed or neutered and current on vaccinations • Their favorite treats, toys, activities, commands, and ways to relax There is no such thing as a “perfect” dog—we simply appreciate complete and honest information. The more we know about your pup, the better we can prepare and make their time with us feel safe, familiar, and fun.
