Calm & Confident Care for your Pets

Welcome! Although I am new to Rover.com, I am not new to pet care. My approach is built on a decade + of hands on experience working with dogs with significant behavioral challenges, learning directly from our region’s top trainers and behaviorists. I am a positive-reinforcement practitioner, believing confidence, patience and kindness build the strongest bonds. I am Red Cross Pet CPR and First Aid certified. I am experienced and fully comfortable administering oral medications, injectables, and subcutaneous fluids to dogs and cats and do not charge extra for these services. Having cared for everything from kittens to spirited senior cats, and from my own rescue dogs with their complicated pasts to small exotics, such as my chinchillas, I understand that every animal is an individual. My personal experience combined with my volunteer work at my local animal shelter, has honed my skills. At the shelter I specialize in helping the most fearful and under socialized dogs to learn to trust again and learn how to be a dog. Animals are my passion, my “why”, and I am thrilled to now turn that purpose into a profession. I offer a calm, confident, and deeply compassionate presence for your pets-especially those who need extra understanding and care. Let’s connect and discuss how I can provide a dependable, safe, happy, and stress-free experience for your furry family member.

Safety, trust & environment

I use positive reinforcement with all dogs. I believe that they are our best cuddle buddies and they need confidence shown by their humans in order to thrive. If the weather is too yucky, I have an arsenal of scent work and commands to work on inside to wear out their minds. You will NEVER see me on my phone when with your baby. I give your furbabies 100% of my attention. I am comfortable with the large breeds, including Pitties, Bullies and German Shepherds, all the way to the other end of the size spectrum of Chihuahuas, Terriers, and Yorkies.

Whitney's love for animals is evident when you walk into her home, where she houses 4 cats and 2 dogs, all rescues. I've known her for 5 years, and our shared love for our pets is always a topic of conversation. She also volunteers at a shelter, often choosing to work with the most damaged animals. Whitney is familiar with administering medication to cats and dogs, both orally and subcutaneously. She is trustworthy and reliable, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire her to care for my animals.

Whitney is amazing with pets and has a big place in her heart for them. She spends some of her time at our local animal shelter giving back and helping the many animals in need of safe human interaction. She has two dogs of her own, one that has medical needs and another that was rescued one that came from a not safe environment. She provides the best care to all animals. I trust her with my pets and will always go to her when needed someone to watch my 3 babies!

I can work with all dog breeds. I do require an initial meet and greet at no charge with you and your pup. If your dog is reactive we will need to schedule several meet and greets prior with you present to ensure the safety of your pup and me. The first meet and greet is no charge then I charge my regular rate for each meet and greet afterwards until everyone is comfortable. Cats do not require a meet and greet- just an initial phone conversation for information gathering purposes.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
