Pet care experience

Cooperstown Dog Resort

Kevin and I both work full-time remote and we chose pet hosting as a shared passion. We're here because we genuinely care about the dogs we bring into our home. We're a real team. Kevin's strength is play and engagement; he'll scratch behind ears for hours and keep your dog active. I handle structured walks, training cues, and the quiet reassurance a nervous dog needs at the end of the day. We split meal prep and medical care—if your dog needs medication, we're both tracking it. Two sets of eyes mean nothing gets missed. I've worked with dogs since I was 10. Kevin grew up with dogs. We've cared for dogs of every size, age, and temperament—energetic puppies, senior dogs who need patience, dogs with behavioral complexity. We know what works because we've done this for a long time and we're still doing it because we love it. When your dog is with us, you can trust that we're both present, both accountable, and both committed to their safety and wellbeing.

Whitney and Kevin were great. As soon as we met them you could tell the great energy from the both of them. They sent pictures through out the day. My dog came home wiped out. She enjoyed every moment. I would highly recommend Whitney and Kevin. Thanks again for a great week. Michael and Denise. Of course Lily too

Whitney and Kevin are laid back, trustworthy and professional people. It was our first time using Rover, and the first time our dog, Toast, was left with strangers. From drop off, to updates to pick up- it was seamless. Whitney and Kevin were so flexible with my last minute family trip, and Toast would have happily stayed there all day if he could have. Thank you both very much.

This was a great place for our dog! both Kevin and Whitney were extremely welcoming, warm, and friendly. Their lovely, gentle dog also was very sweet with our pooch. In spite of the rainy weather, they made great efforts to get her out for exercise frequently, and provided lots of updates for us, including photos. It allowed us to focus on our visit with our grandchildren, since we had no worries about our dog being well cared for. I would definitely recommend them.

Schedule

Kevin and I both work full-time remote from home. We chose pet hosting as a shared passion project—it's important to both of us. We have the flexibility to be present throughout the day, which means your dog gets consistent attention from two people with different strengths: Kevin excels at play and engagement; I handle structured walks, training cues, and downtime reassurance. Our own dog, Bom, is part of our household, and visiting dogs are too. We're not a facility—we're a home where your dog becomes part of what we actually do.

Safety, trust & environment

When your dog arrives, we greet you together on the porch or driveway. We want to know your dog and you. Once you leave, we take them on a walk around the property for orientation and to settle. We show them the water bowl and toy basket, and if they've brought their own bed or blanket, we give them their own space for meals and rest. Throughout the day, Kevin and I both watch for cues. If your dog needs outside, we go. Hourly, or more. We split meal prep and medications—nothing is missed, nothing is guessed on. Kevin and I work as a team; he's as hands-on with playtime, training, and logistics as I am.
