Hi! I work from home as a copy editor. (*Note, I live right in Nelsonville, not five miles away like the map claims. My street was recently renamed, so most maps don't recognize Nelsonville has a Cherry Street yet!) My work is quite flexible, so I have plenty of time and space to care for your pets. I've got a nice grassy fenced backyard in which dogs enjoy frolicking. I love walking and playing with visiting dogs and having company while I work. I have two cats, who stay in their separate CatLand, at least initially. After time, one of them miiight be willing to the in the same room as a dog; the other likely never will. I can pretty much accommodate whatever your pet needs as far as feeding, bathroom or exercise rituals, and I will be able to offer him, her or them plenty of attention and play. I prefer bookings that are not weekends only, as that’s my only opportunity to get out of the house for the week, and I tend to be in and out. Multiple dogs from the same household are great. I don’t have my own dog, so I might be able to accommodate a dog who doesn’t get along with others, although if it’s in a time of high demand I might not be able to make it work. If your booking is last-minute, don’t be afraid to try me!

Wendy takes the best care of my dogs! They are older dogs (10 and 15) and they would not do well in a boarding kennel. They stay at her house and get their daily walk, lots of attention, and great care. They feel right at home and that means a lot! Thank you Wendy!

Schedule
I’m home most of the day on weekdays, with short errands off and on, so I have lots of time with pets then. Weekends I might go out for longer errands or events, or I might end up just lounging at home.

I have a fenced yard and a single-story home, with only a couple steps to get to one entry door, which can be useful for elderly dogs. There are several dead-end streets immediately near me that can make nice walks.

A typical day
Often dogs sit in a comfy chair immediately next to me while I work or on the couch a few feet away. It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood with several nice places to walk. I have a nice yard for running around.
