Pet care experience
I have been animal care-giver for 20+ years. I am passionate about animals and love nothing more than spending time with my own pets as well as meeting new furry friends. I spent 5 years doing rescue work and fostering for a couple local rescue groups. I stopped fostering when my oldest dog began having vision difficulties associated with age. I felt that having foster pets in our home was too much for her in this delicate stage of life. I miss having foster pets so pet-sitting seemed like a great way to spend time with animals and give my elderly pug the peace she needs. I am pet CPR certified. I have extensive experience in administering medication and in general pet care.

I have known Wendy 10+ years and met her through rescue. I know her to have a tremendous love of animals...dogs and cats in particular. I am extremely picky with mine, so to say that I would trust her with mine speaks volumes! I wouldn't say that about many people. I know she's a very responsible person, so anyone who chooses her as a pet sitter could rest assured their pets are in loving hands.

I would like to know any illness or health concern your pet may have such as orthopedic issues or allergies. I would also like to know anything that should be avoided with your pet such as dogs that slip collars easily or indoor cats that attempt daring escapes to the outdoors.
A typical day
Each dog is different. Some dogs enjoy quiet and peaceful walks and lots of cuddles. Other dogs enjoy a brisk walk in an area with lots of activity and play time with tennis balls and/or rope toys. I will let your pet and his./her needs dictate where we go on walks and activities during playtime.
