I aim keep routines pretty normal and running smooth. I am mindful and present and always engaged with the animals when I am there. I always request to know about any quirks that may be unique (drinks from the sink faucet, needs to be in the bathroom with you when you go, ect.) and what behaviors are aloud/discouraged (getting on the bed, scratching at the door, chasing their brother, jumping up, howling at sirens, ect.). I love sharing updates with the parents as often as they'd like, including pictures and reports, via text, email or whatever is preferred!
Information Wendy V. would like to know about your pet
I need to know of any special needs, such as medications or allergies. I always ask about personality quirks and preferences the animal may have if any. I always ask to know what behaviors are ok vs. which are discouraged so I can keep routines and trainings the same.
A typical day
I love walks, runs if the dog likes to run, fetch, chase, tricks, and really anything the animal wants to do for fun, as long as it is safe, I am all about it!

Love is my key ingredient!
Pet care experience
I am a certified Animal Reiki Practitioner. I am an animal intuitive and have had them around my whole life. I am currently studying Animal Communication and I love it all. I grew up in Colorado with dogs, cats, chickens, a goat, horses, a pony and goldfish! My childhood cat lived to be 20, my brother's 19, and they passed after I had moved to Seattle for college and my brother had been gone 5 years ahead of me. I love all kinds of animals and have experience with many kinds, from old to young, hyper to calm, caged to free, at shelters or homes, for friends or strangers, trained to not, ones with special needs to those specially trained, and from puppy raised to rescues! I have worked with and stayed multiple nights with rescues of both friends and clients, mainly big dogs. I've worked for companies and on my own. I noticed through random occurrences throughout my life, I tend to bond quickly with animals who have suffered trauma. I call it the "trauma bond", which has been unique enough to have parents always comment upon witnessing it. It is very heart warming to be able to make them comfortable and feel understood in a special way. This "trauma bond" is nothing to the bond of Pet Parent and Pet though, I assure you! I have volunteered at a shelter before to help and I have lots of experience giving walks, feedings, meds, potty breaks, full daytime care, transporting and pet+house sitting overnights, all for multiple animals at a time, holiday and otherwise, city and country, apartments and houses, big and small. I also have and do provide care for those needing special care like bladder expressions and handicap hook-ups. I learn quickly how to harmonize with a pet's specific needs and preferences, learn their different personalities and try to find optimal harmony for all involved. I understand separation anxiety and usually know how to help ease the pet's mind about their missing people. I have been in Seattle for 15+ years now and met animals all over, stayed in many various neighborhoods and provided care through all kinds of weather situations. I just absolutely love animals and everything they are and entail. My favorite animals growing up were dolphins, unicorns and wolves. Though I chose to pursue the arts after high school, it's apparent to me now that animals are a big part of my calling. I know the right ones will find me and I am always ready to learn what they have to teach, as well as shower them with the unconditional love they so easily exude for us. I hope I get to meet your companions and formulate new and long lasting friendships, while helping you feel as at ease as possible when you just aren't able to be there to give them all they need at all times. Trust me, they understand they can't go everywhere always with you and their main desire is for you to have happiness as much and often as possible, no matter what. I hope I can be a helpful soul in facilitating loving ease for both parties, by providing top notch care on all levels and a deeper understanding than most average caretakers out there. I look forward to our future together! Thanks so much for your time and consideration!

Did a great job helping me out watching my dog over Xmas!!!

Wendy did a great job looking after our two cats when we left town for a long weekend! She updated with pictures each day she looked after them and was super detailed in her visit summaries. Our cats are a little shy with new people, but they seemed to warm up to her pretty fast. Would definitely book with her again.

Wendy was great with Dakota! Wendy came over ahead of time to meet Dakota as she is nervous of strangers. Wendy was very patient with getting Dakota to trust her and was great at communicating.

Wendy took good care of my senior cat while I was away for a week. Would definitely hire Wendy again!
